Does anyone else’s camera take forever to load on phone and on echo?? Defeats the purpose of the camera when the person leaves the door by the time the camera pops up. Sometimes it doesn’t connect at all.
@@elitui7997 it wasn’t the Wi-Fi. I had the highest Wi-Fi because me and my stepson are gamers. It was because I had to set a rule. And make a rule that said whenever the doorbell rang it it would announce someone’s at the door. Took a while, but I got it.
Tap the “Devices” icon on the bottom right corner of the screen to reach the Devices view, then tap the "Cameras" icon on the upper left. Tap a Blink camera that you wish to use for Alexa interaction, and enable the “Motion Announcements” toggle on the settings screen.
All of these things online are the same, how about when you've done all of this and tried multiple troubleshooting and it still won't show up on my Echo 5.
It must be happening in the Alexa app. Check out our video specifically on linking devices to Alexa for help. Also check your WiFi strength around where the cameras are and your echo show to make sure the signal is making it to the device.
If multiple people are using Echo Shows in the house using the same Amazon account, could they access my blink on their Alexa device? Or can I set up the blink to only show on one Alexa device?
I am not sure on that and was unable to find anything that specifically said it could or couldn't connect to that device. We have ours connected to the echo show 5 as well as our echo dots. Some of the dots are older generations as well.
I can't seem to link a smart plug to the show(home) I've added a profile to it, registered my voice, linked the device and device app to alexa app, it says it's paired, but when I say, computer turn on kitchen light, which is what I named the smart plug, (which says it's compatible with Amazon) it says kitchen doesn't do that lol. I'm like oh it doesn't ehh?? Lol. So annoying. Please help.
I would guess that it's something to do with the command since it acknowledges that "kitchen" exists. I do not have any smart plugs at the moment but if I add one I'll be sure to make a video that may help with this. Currently, I just don't have any experience with those devices.
If you're talking about the security pin that is asked for when adding the blink to the Alexa app (time stamp 0:40), it is created by you in this step. The pin is needed when you are trying to disarm the blink system using the Alexa devices.
I'm not sure why yours is giving you this message. Try and going into the app and checking the settings on the device to see if something is blocking it.
I had this issue on my ES8 (2nd gen). ES8 said it didn't support it. I went to You Tube and it took me thru the procedure using the Alexa app. I went into the Alexa app and deleted my Blink mini camera and then reinstalled it. To my surprise .. it now works. I can see my Blink mini camera on the ES8. It's all magic!
