Thank you for your no nonsense approach. I can't tell you how many videos I been searching through over the past couple of days where the presenters waffle so much it would make a politician blush. Thanks for cutting through the BS and getting straight to it.
Hi @Rudimar Power Apps in English, Thank you for your videos, I have created a data entry from and connectedd to excel. I want to insert a checkbox however I see there's an error on the update field for the checkbox. Could you please help me how to resolve this?
Amazing thing is that in a corporate environment I put the Data table onto canvas and while the headers are there it doesn't show any data. However, if I take a file from some Microsoft example and connect to that one, the very same control displays data. I tried changing the xls data sensitivity to "Public", still no data in Data table. There is some annoying stupid feature that prevents Data table from reading Excel docs from One Drive for Business and makes using this impossible, but I can't find out what it is.
Have you figured out why? Excel has these annoying things.. Particularly I'd not recommend do anything serious using it.. just for proof of concepts and learning. Go with SharePoint if you want to stay in the standard connectors.
bro how about the data type for number sorting importing from excel, do you have any sorting issues?? they treat it as text while excel already set numbering....
@powerrudy, thanks for the video, this helped me. One ask is that if I modify the excel everytime should I refresh the connector to the data to reflect on the app? Any way we can make it automatically refresh and show it in the app?
when i connect it with onedrive and then select the excel file, the table which i created in excel file did not show and showing the massage "The table didn't load correctly, please try again ", even i have checked all the thing again and again.
Sad to hear that! Unfortunately I do not have any recommendation besides trying to setup a new file again and keep the file closed while connecting.. good luck!
You have to format the data in Excel as table (Home, Format as table). Also if you select columns then PowerApps will complain you have too many rows (as table will have 100.000+ empty rows). It's overall very immature and annoying product.
