Hi Stephen, are you referring to the part when creating a group type and renaming the group label and member roles? If yes that should be blank, you need to enter whatever name/tag you would like to have as a Group label/member roles.
Does adding a course to the group preserve the pricing structure for the individual courses or does it automatically give horse access to any group members? Meaning would they have to pay for the course if they haven’t already bought it or did he just get access to the course if they’re in the group in the course is added to the group?
Hi Craig, the group members will still require to purchase the individual course which is connected to the Social Group to be able to gain access to the course.
That's great!... Is there anyway to set a course only available for a social group?... I do not want to show a specific course to all users in the platform, only to a social/LD group... thank you!
Hello Griselly, by default, all courses that have been created via LearnDash will be displayed in the Courses directory page and may require custom work to hide specific Courses from this page and have a specific course that would be visible to a certain group only.
Connect a course with a group? Is it possible to connect a course to a specific group like an accountability group to implement learnings together. Or do i have to link it manually in the text of the lessons? It would be great if the course member is automatically added to the specific group. Any Ideas? Workarounds?
Hi Oliver, this integration is actually to connect LearnDash Groups with Social Groups so you can attach courses to your social groups while also syncing the teacher and student data back and forth. You can assign one course to multiple groups, assign many courses to a single group, or any combination in between. Unfortunately, we don't have the feature to automatically add Course Members to a social group. You can always submit this idea as a feature request to our Roadmap for our Product team to check. www.buddyboss.com/roadmap/ Thank you!
How can classes be made visible and working with already existing Social Groups ? For instance if I have an already existing group with a bunch of members and interaction, how do I ADD the learndash integration to that existing group ? Right now it would seem I need to nuke all my groups and recreate them to get the classes tab to show up, after having turned on the Learndash group links
I would like to associate two different LearnDash Groups to the same BuddyBoss group. I have 200 BB groups set up on my site. When i create a new LD group, it only gives me a choice of 4 different BB groups to attach to. In your video, I see a long list of possible BB groups to associate with. How can I associate a new LD group to any of the other 196 BB groups i have already set up? Thank you!
Hey Kato, thanks for the comment. Off the top of my head and without looking I guess this might be related to a group being hidden? If you submit a ticket our support team would be able to assist and get this resolved.
Fantastic! This will be an important feature of the site I'm currently developing. It's really advanced functionality with the push of a couple buttons! Now if we can simply get group pages, wiki's, and podcast's that goose will be cooked!
We do not have this option yet but you can try checking this: wordpress.org/support/topic/automatically-assign-woocommerce-customer-to-group-after-purchase/
I have Learndash-Woocommerce integration plugin and it puts a box on the product page to allow me to assign LD courses or LD groups to a product. when the product is purchased, customers are automatically enrolled in the LD course and the LD group specified on the product page. The LD group then automatically puts them in the BB group.
Hello, When integrate Learndash to buddyboss, do the students learn directly on the site or they need to go to the other site like the buddyboss social learner ?
Social Learner for LearnDash is an older product that runs with BuddyPress and using Boss Theme. If you wanted to use Learndash with our new theme which is the BuddyBoss Theme, users/students learn directly within your site. They can view courses, take quizzes on your site. Check our documentation here: www.buddyboss.com/resources/docs/integrations/learndash/
There are various Page Builder plugins that we support integration with, however, we suggest using Elementor page builder plugin with our BuddyBoss Theme and Platform, for more information: www.buddyboss.com/resources/docs/integrations/elementor-pro/
5:06 i associated LD grup with BB group, why user not auto add? example : user in BB group has 3 user : jon, brad and mat and i create LD group associated with those group, why all 3 user not auto include in LD group?
Hi! Associating a social group to a LearnDash group does not automatically add the users from the social group. You will have to manually add them when you go into LearnDash > groups > your chosen group > users. LearnDash groups acts like a bridge to connect the course associated to your Learndash group to the associated social group. You may refer to their documentation in this page: www.learndash.com/support/docs/users-groups/groups/. I hope this helps.
Excellent Buddyboss is winning every day. 1. I want to know if these courses are paid, will the students be able to purchase them from a sales landing page and become a group member automatically? 2. And say there are 2 courses in one group - both courses are paid.. when a student will buy one course: will he automatically become a group member or every time the administrator will have to add him to the group..? 3. And if he becomes a member after paying for one course, will he have to pay for the second course in the group? Please explain. Thanks.
In theory it should work fine with both, however we have not specifically tested those plugins. Keep in mind we have our own media component native in the platform as well.
@@BuddybossWP so if let say we use rtmedia, will it duplicate the function and can it lead to disfunctional ? and if we want to use rtmedia can we forexample disable the media component? i hope you understand my poor english, thanks
I am facing a problem here. I have made a group and added a single course in it. The problem is when someone enrolls that course (not the group) he gets in the group automatically. Need a solution, please.
LearnDash itself is doing this probably. I assume you connected the course to the social group via a LearnDash group. When the user enrolls in the course, LearnDash is adding the user into the associated LearnDash group on your site. Then our system is just syncing the users from that LearnDash group into the social group.
@@BuddybossWP i did remove the association of learndash group with social group, and boom all members again gets in the private group. Unable to solve it. Any solution?
@@Abuzar_naqvi If the LearnDash group is not connected to a social group, then there is no connection at all between the course and the group. So it should not be possible for a new user enrolled into the course to be auto-added into the group as there is no connection between the two.
@@arnavchakravarthy9901 We are currently working on Tutor LMS layouts. This is in active development, the initial launch will be to support Tutor LMS and all first party features, and to make it all look great.
I'm completely in the dark about this concept. It would be great to have a quick video explaining the concept of Social Groups → LearnDash. I can't imagine the scenario without seeing it in action.
@@scratchmasterp It's just the reverse. If you add members into your social groups, or if members join your social groups on their own, then they will be synced into the LearnDash group and be given access to the group's courses etc. Group Leaders will be able to run reports on those users as well from LearnDash ProPanel.
We do not have a built in functionality for this but you can go over some of our recommended plugins for creating membership levels to protect the content your users are accessing, and at the same time have the ability to charge your users based on their membership levels. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qbiY6ymROe0.html
