My opener follows all steps, but does not ask for a password to my WiFi, then eventually says not connected or something went wrong. Not sure how to get it to ask for the password. It will never connect with out it.
If you have an iPhone, it’s not going to work. The iOS app has a bug where it doesn’t find the network. I emailed the developer about it. I had do the initial set up with an old android phone that I have, then log in on my iPhone and now it’s working. Good luck.
My opener is a my q opener but my remote doesn't have a learn button and when I try to use the learn button on the operator itself it doesn't work. I click it 3 times and nothing happens. Any tips?
How do I located my device if I have multiple devices around me? I cannot locate it for the life of me. It’s the “MyQ-56F” device number that you see, I have multiple different ones around me and the wall mounted garage door opener doesn’t give me that device number so i have no idea which one it is. Any ideas how to locate this info?
I have one, but just can’t get to connect it to Wi-Fi. Could’ve sworn I’ve thought of ripping that crap to shreds but it still works with the remotes so it’ll be fine for now.
I just had the same system installed and it doesn't work for me, it says can't connect even though I have a strong signal and it sometimes says bluetooth not enabled, when it is.
How about if I have no wall mounted control? I am in a RV Storage facility with no walk doors so we have only hand held remotes. Also I have 2 units, can I program 2 different doors?
I have the t-mobile Internet 5G but it wouldn't attach. I have to use a wifi extender and then it worked. I'm guessing there's an issue with 5 or 2.4k signals.
Yeah I believe it has to be 2.4 ghz and have a good signal. Luckily I have a mesh wi-fi setup so I can move one of the routers closer to the garage if needed.
What do I do if everyone on my street had these installed in our new builds and I get 8 different openers with short number/letter codes that aren’t printed anywhere inside the ceiling mounted unit or the booklet it came with? They all change order too so I have no idea which one is mine and each one I click gives me an error. The blue light is also blinking but I can hear a beep when I start the process.
Had to reset my wifi name/pw and when I went to reconnect the opener to the app it no longer finds my wifi points and says there's no 2.4GHz avail? Any idea on troubleshooting?
@@rogerpedrosa1854 Ended up resolving by calling their helpdesk. Apparently they have a username and pw stored on their side that you have to ensure is accurate and matches your app signon. Once they're synched my wifi popped up correctly and was able to pair. Good luck!
I have the same garage door opened and I installed myQ very well, the issue is when I open the garage door myQ said is "Close"; and it's the same when I close it shows as "Open". How can I fixed it?
You could see if there's an update to the app. I haven't seen that issue with mine. You could also try to delete it and add again or uninstall the app and reinstall it to see if that fixes it.
i think as long as your garage door opener has the myq logo on it, it should work, i'd probably try to connect your gate opener to your wifi to see if it works through the app
Unfortunately my phone picks up three other garage doors. I’ve looked all over my garage door opener to find the number that matches on the phone but nothing. How do I find the number that matches what my phone brings up??
I just got a extra shop somewhat close to my house but since there’s only one bar of internet it won’t connect is there any way out of needing internet the company said it would work great after we got that setup
But what you failed to mention is once you set your garage door to open using MyQ, your visor remote control switches will never work again. Seems you can't have both WiFi and remote switches work together. Have to give one up.
After setting garage door name and clicking next the app cannot go past that part it's so frustrating, did it 50 times can't get past that part. Says an error has occurred
i think mine is broken, i tAp the learn button the wall panel and nothing, no beep, nothing. I've tried un plugging & re plugging, everything. Nothing. easy my butt....
Anybody know why my serial number says doesn’t match ? I used to have it connected and deleted my account and restarted it all and now it says serial number not matching the product something like that? Anyone know what to do?? Thanks
Wish it was that easy. The app won’t let me manually enter the SN. Or sucks at using the camera to “scan” it….maybe if I tear it down and take a bat to it…might work
Okay, I've all that and mine doesn't connection, doesn't join, didn't work. And when trying to ask for help via myq customer service, they were no help.
We have been trying off and on for years to get ours to connect. When we press the learn button on the wall opener the ceiling unit won’t beep. We have tried the getting out a ladder and trying to connect by pressing the button on the ceiling unit, calling and chatting with customer service (which is a joke). The company that installed it doesn’t know how to program them. So frustrating.
hmm, tough to say because there's so many different models and variations of how its setup, i'm just lucky mine was pretty simple to setup and still works pretty good
I recently changed my wifi and nothing is working, idk what else I can do, it’s seems like it connect to the myQ wifi but it’s says that doesn’t find any network
not sure about that one, i haven't had any issues with mine. Have you tried to make your wifi name and password the same as your old wifi? If it's different then you may have to reset it and do everything over again.
google makes money by tracking you around and sending you all kind of ads and annoying spam calls.. they don't need your little money.. they already know your bank account and password.. you authorized a blank check when you downloading their apps and agreed on their terms...LOL
I've looked through the comments and I noticed you never respond to people that have issues with this video ... I don't hear a beep when pressing the learn button. Has anyone experiencing this issue gotten this garage door to function? Thanks!
@@atharvashetty6173 It may be our opener is a version without Wi-Fi module. They sell additional gateway that can connect to MyQ application instead of opener directly at Amazon.
i wonder if the wifi connection is too weak, you may want to create a connection using your phone's hotspot to see if it stays connected. If so i would look at a wifi extender or move your router closer to the garage.
