Hi Stewart, I just used this tutorial and managed to put the Mailchimp subscribe button on my word press blog (right hand side and footer) and I can manually add it via the shortcode to each subsequent blog. Thanks very much.
I'm not sure if my Wordpress Theme (set up with Elementor) doesn't allow for a right side column,,... but I was only able to put it after my written content.. do you have a video on how to add the right side column with Elementor? thanks a million! @@StewartGauld
Hi, loved this video. It was super helpful. Can this be done if you have the free version of wordpress? I'm stuck at this step as WordPress keeps directing me to upgrade before adding Mailchimp as a plugin.
Yes, it keeps redirecting me to update to the creator monthly plan with word press or it allows me to download it for a self-hosted installation@@StewartGauld
Very useful, the only issue is that, when I send the form, instead of showing the "thank you" message right away, the button seems to be redirecting to the same page, then I have to scroll back to the newsletter on the footer and is untill then that the Than you message appears... I've blocked the redirections but still... I've stopped the cache, nothing.
Thank you so much Swewart for this video! One question only! Can I follow the same process although I still have my site created in a local environment? I prefer do this if possible, before buy a domain and upload the site to a server. thank you!
Hi thank you soo much for this video however I will love to add the subscribe button to my social media pages like Facebook or RU-vid how do I do it please ?
Hi! Can you do a video about how to anonymize IP addresses to be compliant with GDPR? Also, can you deliver a lead magnet or a freebie with mailchimp free version? Thanks! I love your videos!
Hi Stewart. Awesome video. Quick question. How can I add a customized signup form to collect emails to my other pages such as my home page on my site? Thanks
This took me so far and then stopped when you could only add to posts instead of pages. 😭 I just need to know how to add to my home page! I have spent way too many hours on this!
What if I created a form entirely on wp forms and I want to link it to the Mailchimp audience, how do I go about it. This video is for creating a new form and linking it. What if I have a form already.
Thank you! Quick question : is there a way to remove my PHYSICAL ADDRESS that was required for my MailChimp account from public view once someone signs up? Also, my human verification form required 3 of those "click the boxes where you see this or that" and I'm hoping there's a way to simplify/eliminate that for people who won't have the patience to do all that... any help would be greatly appreciated!
My question is is there anyway for you to re group all those who subscribed via website? You can see them in the APi as tagged but If I wanna send that specific group into an email sequence how to do that?
Hi bud...Ive watched this time and time again, and I seem to have all the settings as yours by my website subscribers just will not appear in my mail chimp contacts...I get email notifications of new subscribers...but I have ti manually import them into mailchimp..any clues?
@@StewartGauld Pretty sure...I thought it may take some time to update so I went back and checked, still not there, Ill do some screen record or shots tonight, Im keen to resolve it ;-)
I went through the tutorial and got the form completed but when I tested it there was no confirmation email and no record of subscription in MailChimp. I had the same problem using WP forms so there is a problem with Mailchimp connecting to my website - any ideas on how to resolve this?
6:12 - On the Website I am working they have previously used another form for Newsletter. The thing is that I have completed all the steps until here but the old newsletter form is still here. How can I remove it and completely swap it with MailChimp's newsletter? I have deactivated the old Plugin but.....
I followed this tutorial step by step, and the form shows up on my site. I even get a confirmation message when I sign up on the form on my site. But a new subscriber never shows up in my Mailchimp contact list. What did I do wrong?
Hi Stewart. I just followed the tutorial and when I went to test the form it gave me an error message... "Oops. Something went wrong. Try again later." Any thoughts?
@Stewart Gauld it's ok. We figured it out. If I remember correctly it was an issue with the merge tags. "Last name" was marked as a required one in the list of optional tags, but I didn't actually have it in my form. Once I added it to the form it worked.
@@StewartGauld To be honest I only do bulk emails but business colleagues have been using newer, better options and told me Mailchimp is obsolete. No first hand knowledge.
