How to wire up Single Line Telephones and how to wire up multi line Telephones.
This video shows the number of pairs of cables required to be connected to the pbx switch and the telephone keystone jack to enable each of the phones to work well.
The video shows all colour codes that need to be observed.

Sir i want to appreciate you deeply. You are just amazing. My question goes like this In the case of the single line tel, after terminating the cable on the keystone jack, will the outlet cable entering the tel still has just the blue pair?

In wiring a multiline telephone, can I use 6pin rj45 plugs instead of 4 pin plug?

The Rj45 plug is bigger than the telephone sockets, they can plug into the telephone socket

For single lines, does the dp also need to be terminated with blue

"Most pbx switches have very few provisions for multi line telephone" but you have said we can plug rj11 of multi line and single line to any port of the pbx switch. I am floating here kindly or does it mean we have pbx switches designed to support single line and multi line separately

Depending on the PBX Manufacturer, you may find pbx switches that have provision for 2 multi line phones or some come with one, it all depends on the system type

How do i know whether the telephone is single line or multi line or it's upon the technician to decide on single line or multi line wiring?

Multi line phones are mostly called consoles. They are technical made different from single line phones. They are able to handle multiple calls at thesame time unlike a single line phone.
