Bluetooth works for the first time, but it doesn't work anymore after restarting my pc. I always need to set up a new connection. Anyone else have this issue? The controller connects immediately via cable.
I installed BetterJoy, and the necessary drivers for it to run, but my laptop still isn't detecting my pro controller once I plug it in. When I try to set it up wirelessly, my laptop doesn't detect it at all. Anyone know a solution?
This might be late idk if this is still an issue for you but I just figured it out I hit "add controllers" (under/to the right of where your controller icons are SUPPOSED to automatically show up), and a new window popped up. On the left it said "all devices" and included a whole bunch of other Bluetooth things I had connected and more importantly my pro controller (for me it was called "Wireless Gamepad (a whole bunch of numbers)"). I had to click on/highlight that, hit the button in the middle pointing ->, and hit the refresh button right below the arrow button. Then my controller was on the right under "Switch Controllers". Hit apply and it should hopefully work! Sorry if this was more in-depth than necessary lol! Also don't bother with the button mapping in Betterjoy. Just configure the controller in whatever program you need to use it for, Betterjoy just kinda made my computer go "??"
I have an issue with better joy.. when i open it and it finds my controller it connects and disconnects all over again second to second. Also i did all the big picture thing to try to play rocket league on steam and it actually mixed all my buttons settings and i cant play at all. Im actually kinda in dispair atm. Anyone can help?
he explained that the button layout is xbox, so the button functions are inverted, it takes some getting used to, but its fine and for the other thing, sounds like its an issue with your USB, either cable or port, changing one or both till it works may help
This doesn't work for me because the control sticks are stuck to one side and I cant center them. Is there a fix for the joysticks not working? All the buttons work just not the joysticks.
xbox series s controller is amazing, however mine runs on batteries of which I ran out, so it have some use if already owning it. Didn't use my switch in like 3 years, but would love to be able to continue after my batteries run out. Sure just buy more batteries, but it's middle of the night so I'm here : P
i have issue on this ive been using this technique for almost 1year and half the issue is that you have to unpair and pair again the controller every time you open your pc
I connected the Pro Controller to my windows based PC or laptop i tried on windows 7 it dtects it it says controller ok when i tap the buttons does not work in windows XP sp3 the same thing it says controller OK but is not workin when i use bluetooth both windows XP and 7 works on bt the pro controller
Switch controller isn't too bad on PC and works perfectly well, if you have the expendable cash I would personally get a Xbox series x or dualsense controller
@@ChrisMizo I used 3.0 and 4.2 BT, and the controller is visible but it wont connect. I will give it a try with a BT5.0 to see what happens. Otherwise it connects perfectly fine with the cable but its not really an desirable option for me. Thanks for the video

But is the Switch Pro Controller worth when there's the DualSense, DualShock 4, Stadia, Xbox 360/One? No, not really unless you really like the controller (it's essentially an Xbox controller with digital triggers).
the warning is not tooo usefull since most people watching this video will probably already own a switch controller and I personally dont use it because I think its great for pc or overall but because I dont have a different one lying around and i dont wanna spend money on a different one when i can use this one, but good tutorial anyways :3
when i connect my switch pro controller (wired usb) it connects, but it isnt called switch pro controller and steam can see it but it doesnt do anything
All controllers have some type of displacement and dead zones. I think it is really goofy you are warning about it as a unique issue to Nintendo. Also the joycon drift that you’re talking about are on the joycons not the pro controller.
Hey Tyler, I've experienced the joycon drift issue on the switch pros controllers as it is unique, what will happen is the left joy stick won't have a dead zone, but will loose resistance and the joystick will get stuck on one direction and won't become responsive. Unfortunately Nintendo uses the similar components as the joycon with their pro controllers, this happened three times in my experience, this was just a fair warning.
Hi, did you or anyone face issue after pc or controller went to sleep, click on any button non controller to connect to pc but it doesnt work? (On pc, bluetooth setting it show connected but the led light on switch pro controller still flashing) after awhile on Bluetooth it disconnect I need to remove the controller from bluetooth and resetup back every-time my pc or controller went to sleep Appreciate if anyone know how to fix this
@@ChrisMizo Thanks. I'm assuming you meant to say "BetterJoy"? I did try with the latest version of BetterJoy (7.1) but it wouldn't install on Windows 8.1 Pro*, as it is Win10 only. Then I tried the previous 6.4b version, which does install on Windows 8.1 Pro, but unfortunately it triggers the Anti-cheat on the games that contain that (BetterJoy bug #846), and I can't risk getting an account-ban. So, I had to go back to using the Pro Controller wired (via USB). It's a shame that the native Bluetooth windows+steam drivers don't work reliably for the Pro Controller. Microsoft want us all to use an XBOX controller, and steam want us all to use the Steam Controller, so both companies have a financial incentive to make the Pro Controller support as "accidentally" janky as possible. [* I will never 'upgrade' to Win10 due to its terrible security & privacy policies; eventually I will just upgrade to Linux]
@@ChrisMizo Nope. Your the one 'crying' about other people crying which they aren't. He is right it doesn't work. One time it probably did but MS is known to f'k stuff up in updates.

If you think a solution on PC either "works" or "doesnt work," you have absolutely no fucking clue what you are talking about, and unfortunately are just kinda dumb. There are millions of different PCs and no one knows whats going on in your personal situation. Try using your brain more.
