@@TheProvokedPrawn wish I saw this before buying 3 fan controllers yesterday but I’m sure I’ll be able to resell what I don’t need 😂 Subscribed. Thanks!
Just built my dream pc with the h6 flow rgb and 1 extra rgb 120mm and 2 extra rgb 140mm. Micro center only sells 1 and 3 packs and I didn’t need 3 of any fan, so I don’t get a controller. Now I can’t even connect my rgb for the fans without buying an extra controller. Very disappointed in nzxt.
i agree with you mate, did my pc build based with the legacy AER fans last year, each fans had an extra port for daisy chain/to interconnect with each other, way better than this, they made it more complicated with the rgb controller....
useful thread guys! So how to chain the rgb 4 pin connectors? I can't find any splitter cable on the market. I need another rgb hub controller? And how to sync the animation of the fans with the NZXT led strips? thanks
Thanks. Glad to hear I'm helping. Here's a playlist I made which might be useful too. How to build a gaming PC: ru-vid.com/group/PLlRFhsGPgCG9yKCHtL2_UnwSGitMqao5z
@@TheProvokedPrawn hey thanks for responding, I don’t know if I want to install a radiator in my h9 flow on the top or the side, I will probably do the top but if I can do a push/pull on the side I would probably do that, if I can do that would the radiator (without the fans) be in the back side of the case or will it be visible. Thanks for all the help!
thank you so much i know what i need. im building in the h6 and using 9 fans and didnt know what i needed now i know i need fan splitters and a rgb controller
Please can u tell me what u need exactly ? Because I’m building a pc in h6 flow with 9 nzxt rgb fans and I’m completely lost. Do I need the fan hub that comes with the aio, another rgb controller and a fan splitter ?
Dude you are the best channel on RU-vid I swear. I’ve never had someone help me so much lol thank you!!! I have question for ya with the new lian li reversible blades being available, what kind of fan set up would you recommend for the jonsbo mod 3 case? I’m thinking a push pull set up like you mentioned in the last video but I’m not sure because it’s an open backed case. You’re the man!
@@TheProvokedPrawn Actually it was a LOT !! I ordered an extra internal hub , and the 3 way Y style splitter for fan. I had no idea i needed that (i am ordering to build my first PC). Actually watching your 50min build video on the H6 Flow RGB from NZXT as this is the case i have! Thanks a lot
Hello this is really helpful, but I wanted to ask if it's possible to get both the core and aer fans working on the same system? The core fans are aio and have their own RGB controller, but the aer 2 have a hub of their own. I'm not getting RGB on the aer 2 you see so I'm having trouble
Just a small side note: Please stop praising the Lian Li fans. I have a total of 4x Lian Li Uni Fan SL-INF 120 ARGB PWM cleanly installed in my new computer, at low speeds. Within only 3 weeks I already have 2 broken fans - sudden rattling, noise, no longer usable. While other Noctua fans have been running without problems for years. These things must be of sub-par quality.
@@TheProvokedPrawn In the years I've had a TON of different fans from many brands. But I never made the experience that fans fail within only a few weeks of use. 2 brandnew Lian Li fans failing like this - with the same kind of damage. Under these circumstances, I really don't believe in a stupid coincidence, but in poor quality. Well, lesson learned. :) Back to Noctua or BeQuiet. No more RGB nonsense.
So I am a bit confused If I use two controllers will they still sync up? I know the big controller can do power for 9 fans and only 6 rgb but if I have 8 rgb fans. So will I use the other controller? or can I somehow wire all the rgb with the larger controller?
Hey! Thank you for the video, I think you're one of the few that provides much needed information about NZXT's F120 fans. Am I able to split 6 fans using 2x(3way4pin) cablesplitters to 1x(2way4pin) cable splitter and connect it to the CPU_FAN1? My motherboards CPU_FAN1 supports 2amps and 24 watts. It's the Mag z790 Tomahawk wifi. I'm just trying to wrap my head around connecting all 13 fans
Great content and buttery smooth voice ass always! I hope we can get your new Corsair iCue Link fans/AIO/system video sooner than later now that they are available. Cheers!
Should I connect my fans directly to the motherboard or NZXT controller? As the Gigabyte software controls the fan curve, will it be able to control the fans connected to NZXT Cam?
Japanese shop clerk kept telling me it needs header on motherboard for each fan. I thought weird there is a controller but only for RGB. oh well amazon then
What if I occupy all 2 of my SYS_FAN headers with my stock NZXT F120 fans? Where else would I connect my NZXT F120 rgb version of the fans? I just purchased 3 today
Nah man, that's where they get ya. You have to purchase the 6 RGB controller with the fan plugin. Just added more fans to mine and I didn't even think of it until now
Yea, i recently bought the 6 Controller. It kinda sucks that NZXT wont give you an controller when buying the RGB variant of any case.@@pjbroadaway4884
So i cant do a RGB Spitler for the controller? I have 9 Fans with RGB and recently bought one more fan with RGB. I will need another controller just for the one fan? ?
Thank you for your video, clarified alot! Ok so I didn't know the controller could only manage 6 fans for RGB but power 9 (without RGB I assume). That's a bit lame. How would you go about power and RGB-managing 10 Duo RGB fans for the H9 Elite case? I can't wrap my head around it, seems so little information to be found ..
Hello, please help me, I bought an MB z690 aorus ultra, and 9 fans and 3 controllers (the ones that come in stock by purchasing the package) I don't know if it will be necessary to buy a USB HUB and/or controller?
I have 9 nzxt f120 rgb fans in total. 3 from the case, 3 from the aio and 3 seperate fans. So how am i supposed to connect 9 rgb cables to the controller if it only accept 6 cables. T
So im following a similar build in the H9 Flow... the controllers that come with the 3 pack of fans, if im following the video right... i can use those and plug it into the main NZXT hub for RGB? Using F120 rgb duo.
How much splitters does the fan controller come with 1 or 2 because I need it for 5 fans so should I buy extra splitter? Would I also need to connect my cpu fan to this?
I HAVE A QUESTION SO MY CPU COOLING FANS ARE CONNECTED TO THE RGB SPLITTER WHICH IS CONNECTED TO THE USB, BUT THE CASE FANS ARGB ARE CONNECTED TO THE ARGB MOBO SLOT, SO MY QUESTION IS CAN I CONNECT THESE CASE FANS INTO THE RGB SPLITTER WHERE THE CPU COOLER FANS ARE I HAVEE FREE SPOTS ! IS IT SAFE TO DO IT ? TY ALOT FOR THE GREAT VIDEO ( ALL FANS ARE NZXT COOLER ASWELL ) TY IN ADVANCE (CASE NZXT H5FLOW) (CPU COOLER KRAKEN NZXT 240 ), SO I CAN CONTROL CASE FANS ASWELL WITH THE NZXT CAM
I have the H7 Flow RGB case that came with the 3 front 140 rgbs and the non rgb in the rear. I purchased another F140 core RGB, can I connect it to the other 3 fans? I have the MSI B650 MB which only has 2 ARGB and 2 RGB. I might be doing something wrong but the fan works but no rgb. It was working but I didconnected a few things and now it wont light up. note: This is my first PC build
@@Ksully-nb3yp No! I ended up returning the RGB fan. I found out that there were not enough connections on my MB and that I needed the controller in order to dongle the fan to the others which I didnt purchase.
Is their an adapter cable to convert the 4pin nzxt cable to standard 3pin rgb like the first hub in the video. im trying to tie the 3 rgbs from the kraken aio to the msi motherboard rgb and its just annoying that their is no way around it. I dont want the USB to controll it.
Sorry for a stupid question: I just bought 2x 140mm duo RGB fans, kraken elite 360 rgb radiator and the 3 rgb fans that comes with the case. Does this mean i just need one rgb controller and a fan splitter cable to run all these «8» rgb fans? Because the 120mm non rgb doesn’t need a rgb connection?
Hello very useful video i thank you very much Hello very useful video i thank you very much. 🙂 Nzxt h9 elite case will be me one. Nzxt 120 duo fans mounted. How to connect 10 rgbs Fans? I will have an msi z790 tomahawk wifi motherboard. Can you make a video of such specs?? Sorry if it's incomprehensible, I'm writing with a translator. I don't know English, but I've signed up and follow your work. Unfortunately, my native language does not have such a detailed or even no video or description of it at all. Thank you very much if you can help. I wish you all the best.
Hello, i have 2 rgb duo nzxt fans and nzxt hub controller as you showed in your video, i connected all of them right and nzxt cam detect both fan control and rgb lighting, my fans are spinning, but they dont light, i deleted all other rgb softwares and reinstalled my pc, but they still don’t light, do you have any ideas why ? Thank you in advance!
So do you need a rgb controller for them to work? Because I have the rgb connect to my motherboard. It has rgb ports but the rgb is stuck on green blue and white. And it's not fully on either, theirs only like 4 spots lit up. Please help me.
@@TheProvokedPrawn Yes, I even have noctua PWM fans and they work. The F140 Core turn on, I can change the rgb but I don't see the RPM, I can't change the speeds either
Can you mix nzxt fans with other branded fans? I owned the be quiet 360 aio and thinking of buying 2 of these nzxt fans (140mm) to complete my build (hyte y40). Can I sync the lights?
If u do get two separate brand fans u might need a sata cable splitter if u wanna plug in another rgb controller to the rgb or just get fan splitter. I have a nzxt 360 aio and the rgb don’t come on unless I get another splitter for another rgb controller
Hey I've got a question Mr Prawn. If I've got a prebuilt PC with pre installed RGB fans connected to a button (changes light colors) on my case, what will happen when I press the button if I swap those fans for new ones?
I was wondering. I have the Mai b550-a pro and idk if it has the 3 pin rgb headers? Are they called jrainbow? I have 2 360 rgb core (one comes with case) so I need to find the connectors and the aio doesn’t need one it uses usb 2.0 and my back fan is non rgb
I’ve got 9 NZXT rgb core fans connected to their seperate rgb hubs, each rgb hub is connected to an NZXT internal usb hub that is then connected to the usb header on my mobo. I have full rgb control but I can’t figure out how to control the fan speeds? I can only control the cpu fan speed in CAM but msi afterburner doesn’t doesn’t do anything. Any ideas??
