I did everything you said it connected on my computer and steam but the controller doesn't work in old games like Star wars Battlefront 2 (2005) and alien Vs Predator (2010).. what should I do to make them work with my PS4 controller?

The only video ive found that shows how to pair a ps4 controller to your PC the right way.

Something to note is that I'm pretty sure regular micro USB cables aren't going to work, they need to support data transfer. They use the same connection as micro USB cables and still work to power things, but only data transfer ones will work for connecting controllers.

I love the video and how you talk and everything! The best thing is that youre not like most of the other youtubers who tell you to subscribe every 2 seconds

it can also work with Linux OS (Ubuntu and any OS based on it)

When i plug in my ps4 controller into my pc it only starts charging it, so i can't play anything like bo3 etc

Wow! That was super easy! Just got myself a new laptop (for photo editing purposes so a big boost in ram). Been wanting to play a couple games that are only available on Steam so it's cool to see how easy it is to connect a PS4 controller and also that Steam has configurations for the PS4 controller!

Some of you might have the issue where when you plug in the controller it will disconnect after a few seconds so heres how i fixed it. hold ps4 and share button. the light will start blinking then click on add bluetooth or other device then Bluetooth. dont press the allow button if it pops up just close it and connect to ur controller. if u press allow it will just disconnect after a few seconds

for some reason it only charges my controller

whenever i use this bluetooth method it ALWAYS pairs it to "other devices" and it wont work because of it, it usually pairs to mouse keyboard and pen but idk how to change it back to this without restarting my computer
