How to connect Redmi/Xiaomi phone with Galaxy Watch 4 (after multiple fail attempts)

I had the Galaxy Watch 4 for a week and wasn't able to connect it with my Chinese Redmi Phone. Before I found this solution, I tried a few different attempts that didn't quite work. Hopefully, this solution works with Chinese version of Huawei phones as well. I think the problem is the Galaxy Watch 4 might have been regional locked.
1. I followed the official instructions which is downloading Galaxy Wearable and Galaxy watch 4 plugin, however; it either tells me my phone isn't compatible or I don't have galaxy watch 4 plugin that I already installed. This will then open my Googleplay store that I side installed, and the Googleplay store will say "app don't exist" or something
2. I followed others saying I need to go to developer options to allow both galaxy wearable and watch 4 plugin from battery saver to no restrictions. That only gave me same results as above.
3. Some say that they were able to to sync with Samsung Health after galaxy wearable failed to set-up with their phones. However, I got the same result as Samsung Health would get galaxy wearable to open and giving the exact same results as above.
Finally, after one whole week of research I found this solution and it worked out for me. I'm not sure if everything works out correctly just yet; but at least my Galaxy Watch 4 is set-up and not an expensive piece of brick anymore.

Perfect ! Just connected my Galaxy Watch 4 Classic to Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro (chinese version). Not from the first time, but somehow it worked. I just turned on all the permissions for Wear OS and Samsung wearable app and it worked. Thanks a lot for the video !

no worries, it took me time to find a way out too... and out of my search, it seemed alot of us have trouble with the same issue might as well share the solution, hopefully solve everyones problem with the watch and not letting our galaxy watch 4 stayed as a brick 😄

Hi, im using poco F3. I dont had problem to instal like you but I having problem to use find my phone. It didn't work, only works when a open the app and click on find my watch and after i click find my phone on the watch. I found another people relating the same issue but without a solution. Thanks

Hi, I didn't noticed that problem til you brought it up... I tried diff attempts, I only got a partial solution... I only got it working for finding my phone while the phone is idle ... once the phone got into lock screen, finding my phone wouldn't work til i unlock the screen ... like when I use find my phone, I have to tab on the screen then it rings... I guess that isn't very useful if you really lost your phone lol So, I couldn't find a perfect solution just yet, hopefully you can a find a working solution soon

Thanks man! My Redmi note 8 pro is now connected with the watch. I just uninstalled galaxy plugin and wearable app and reinstalled it, boom it connected.

@@hariharansakthivel9894 just uninstall the plugin app and all other Samsung apps, and reinstall everything. If it still doesn't work, repeat the process.

Connected galaxy 4 watch to xiaomi redmi 8, no problem, just in samsung wearable app ,in phone app settings, allow all permissions and there will be no problem to conect watch.

Oh, man! I've tried so much different ways to pair my Oppo Find N with galaxy watch 4. I even tried to rebuild galaxy wearable app like Huawei users do on XDA. And you video did the job for me) Now it works!

@@ahnbmn8509 hey! The only difference with the video: I used Chinese versions of app not from Baidu, but from Oppo App Market, and also gave all of the possible permissions to them. Also I installed Samsung Health app, and had been tried to pair from it right before successful try like one on the video. That's worked for me. Good luck!

I followed this to the T, and watch 4 plugin was already installed, but it still says: Invalid Galaxy Watch4 Manager You need the plugin to control your watch with the Galaxy Wearable App. What else can I do?

This video is very helpful and useful! Can you make a video about the same problem but for Samsung galaxy buds 2? When I open the Wearable app and touch the connect button so It can find my device there is no device to find out. I tried a lot of things to do,but it didn't help. I had previously connected the watch with this method. Now I'm trying again and everything works till it's around 45% then an error comes up and everything is gone. I have done literally all the tricks online, tried several times, reset the watch etc etc nothing works anymore. What a nightmare. I have a Nubia z50 Ultra....😊

as of someone's comment here, "find my phone" doesnt seem to work when the screen is locked on your phone. find my watch do work tho. i mainly used it as a watch, i m not sure even sure what features you are referring to

helpl nothing seems to work for me i tried downloading the chinese version of the wear os for google cause my phone is chinese version but the watch does not show up even after i enabled all the permissions for that and samsung wear app it still says incompatible anyone can provide any help

@@vinhhieu5661 I'm not exactly sure what the difference is... but what I did was, i slide from bottom up for the "recent apps" or what normally the "square" button" would do, and use my finger to slide that "wear os by google app" off my "recent apps" screen...

Those who have problem with connection on Xiaomi, disable MIUI Optimizations under Developer Tools and it will work immediately, and don't forget to thank me later :)
