It need to check in details. Like 1, if you have moved the optical fiber to new harness, 2, if you have connected the USB/ AUX adapter,3 the NTG 5.0 , it need to choose USB/ aux in original car menu first ( before you using the android screen). It need to check in details

If you using external CarPlay box , there is a setting “ compatible “ in settings, the path is : setting / advance settings/call audio properties. If you using the built in CarPlay (Zlink), to check if your seller offered you a small speaker, if you installed the speaker correctly.

@@HifimaxOfficial I get exact same problem, no other external carplay box, music over carplay works, but no sound from call. Do we have to use the small speaker? All works flawlessly but no sound over bluetooth while adoing a call, only mic working. thank you

I really hard to understand this. Think about it, if the small speaker really useless, how possible to design it? To install it just don't let the system without noise when using dualzone function and ensure everything can be work fine...

@@HifimaxOfficial thank you for your effort! You are absolutly right, i have a Car with Harman Kardon Sound System (fibre optic cable), so in this case its mandatory to use small speaker. Maybe i connect the wire from small speaker to the middle oem speaker..... but first i look for your mentioned "( blue to blue, white to white cable)". Your hints are much appreciated, thank u very much for this. Anyway a great unit u sell...... it fits perfectly to my AMG GLE Coupe... nice work you did... thumbs up!

If the phone connected to CarPlay, but that time , you using other original functions, such as using CD functions ( original car function), and the AUX-IN not activated, in that case, a call coming, you might not heard the calls, because the Auxiliary is not work ( although your phone connected to CarPlay), in this video, I suggest to choose AUX, you can test it after selected the AUX ( and volume up).

Also, you should check the Microphone. Our model is built in MIC , according to our test, that is good enough. If you hook the external microphone to it, the built in microphone will not work, then you should well install the external microphone ( locate it near to driver’s head).

You can check if your iPhone connected to original car Bluetooth or not , if yes, disconnect it ( or disable the connection to OEM Bluetooth), CarPlay not allow to connect to Bluetooth at the same time .

@@HifimaxOfficial thanks but not connected to OEM Bluetooth - only connected to Android unit (CarPlay). I hear phone calls for one second then stops. If I switch phone to speaker, then back to CarPlay (Zlink) Bluetooth I hear for 1 second again then stops 🤷‍♂️

@@seanvision1 , Just few more question: 1) You confirm that you using "built-in " Carplay ? or using external carplay (autokit)? they are different. 2) Also, does your car has a middle speaker? did the seller offered a small speaker? You installed that small speaker? 3) When you using Apple Carplay, you can play music first, and heard the sound in speakers, then you can make a call to other people, it also stop the sound in 1 seconds?

In the setting of Zlink, you can check , there is a setting call "HD", the default is "OFF", you can take a check.

You might connected the phone to original BT at the same time, thus, it have this issue. The Carply not allow to use BT at the same time. If your phone connected to Carplay and when a call coming, you are using Carplay function (like listening the music), it work fine? according to my test, no need to change the audio in the cellphone. Because in that time, the AUX is actived (you using Carplay). If your phone connected to Carplay, but you are not in Carplay mode, for example, you using original radio FM, and a call coming, you pick up the phone, it might no audio, since the AUX not actived. The Carplay (music / phone calls etc), the sound work via factory AUX.

Everything about CarPlay is great and works wonderfully. I love it except when I use the phone when I use the calling feature the other party here’s a terrible echo of their own voice. I tried everything to fix it, and nothing works. The only way it works is if I disconnect CarPlay and let Bluetooth connect and then there’s no more echo so I don’t know if it’s software or if it’s in the USB cord but if I connect to a wirelessly with that maybe fix the problem would you know have you dealt with this before?

@@HifimaxOfficial no that’s not it. I’ve tried that when Apple CarPlay is connected to Bluetooth automatically shuts off and in my head unit.

@@jaredpoling3123 I have this too, did you find a solution? I saw on my phone that is connected to something called "localhost" instead of the BT of the unit. If i dont use Carplay but use the BT unit calling everything works fine. Also i can see the headunit BT on my phone as a audio output source instead of "localhost", so seems like my Carplay is broken like yours.

Android software version, for now , that is android 11. If you need to update it, you should contact your seller, normally, if that is no problem for current version, we not recommend to update it

Same issue, car play is connected to the device, sound is coming on the device, but not on the speakers of the car. You can check the volume settings for calls , in android settings; also, you can go to settings and have a reset for “ wifi Bluetooth mobile “ and try again; also, you can test if you using the Bluetooth ( instead of CarPlay), to see if that is in normal sound level. Since the Bluetooth and CarPlay using the same sound channel, if Bluetooth work fine , then you consider to update the Zlink version

Yes , thus , your phone should just connect to CarPlay only , don’t connect to OEM Bluetooth.

This case, you need to check if you have well connected the AUX or AMI cable , and if have chosen "AUX or AMI " in OEM menu, the sound for android screen work via AUX or AMI. Better to check your case with your seller, other people hard to know the details when you say so.

For Mercedes NTG 4.5 Or 4.0, the sound work via AUX, If your car is NTG 5.0, The sound work via USB (should not work via Bluetooth), our model is this design, since I don't know your model, you can contact your seller directly. the camera is just the setting issue.

I didn’t met this problem yet . Both google maps and Spotify apps are installed in Android screen? Or you installed this two apps in cell phone and using Apple CarPlay ( in CarPlay mode )?

Hi there, thanks for getting back to me. There are many other Android users heaving the same issue as me. Both apps (Spotify aand Google maps) are installed on the Android unit and on my phone. The problem occurs when my phone is connected wired or wireless with Android Auto on my unit. At the start is fine, music plays but when Google maps say command the Spotify mutes and doesn't play music anymore. I have just one Bluetooth connection with Android Auto only. When you using built in CarPlay (Zlink), the Android WiFi will turn to off automatically. If you like to connect the Android screen to internet always, recommend use the 4G LTE
