Hi Raj, I purchased the M12 some 4yrs back and it was lying idle as I was unable to make patches. I purchased an iPad one year back and it did not connect as there was compatibility issue. After upgrading the M12 firmware I am able to connect. Your video is very helpful. Thank you 👍👍

I've had the Yamaha unit for about 5 years but I haven't really used all the powerful features it has, mainly due to how complex the menu diving is that is required to get to some of the stuff. And I HAAATE Apple and said I'd never have an iPhone or iPad in the house! Yet Yamaha only made this app for the iOS system I guess, so I'm forced to give this a try. Just ordered an older cheap iPad off amazon last night due to watching your easy to understand video. Looking up those "camera" adapters right now. We'll see how this goes! Hope it works. Thanks again for your great video. You pushed me into the dark zone of Apple!
Thanks for your detailed feedback. I agree about that apple product. I also never wanted to go into apple products but as a musician I was forced to buy in order to use some apps. I heard some people said it didn’t support because of some apple updates. But not sure the exact issue. I never updated my iPad so never had that issue. Hope everything goes well. Good luck.
Hi. ipad connection problem solved by updating the Pad. Yamaha released firmware version 1.11 which can be downloaded from the Yamaha website. please back up before you update your dtx pad.
@@learnfromraj so everything is on the pad. I saw another video where you said you had older version of iPad pro and it works fine. How much storage do you need. I am looking at some base model iPad but they have only 64gb storage. Wasn't sure if that was enough
@jaguaero yes, all samples are loaded on DTX. iPad just access the tones from the DTX. So you only need space to download the App, which is very little. So if you have 64GB, it’s ok to use. I will check and tell you how much space I had on my iPad.
Raj have you messed with the click track much? I have been having some issues for a while now with bleeding to the FOH and now I am having a volume issue. I have pad 3 assigned to the click to headphones.
Sorry bro, I am keyboard player. I use this pad for my recording needs only so never got chance to mess around with click track. Which I could have helped but sorry. Hope you find the solution soon.
Hey guys. After 15.4 and 15.5 ipados update the pad is not connecting to ipad. The app team has acknowledged it in app description. They say they are working on it. Really helpful app but not working presently.

I am using iPad Pro and it’s about 5 years old. I heard it’s not working for those people who updated the latest update. I haven’t updated mine for long time so it’s still working. But Yamaha is working on it to fix this issue. If u planning to buy new iPad, make sure this app works with the new version.
Hi the one I am using is iPad 6th generation and software version 14.7.1 but mine is very old I heard it didn’t work for new version but Yamaha have updated their system to work but not sure. Check it out.
