Great video - thank you! I grew up in Greensburg and now live in Columbus, OH. This video is the first that popped up when I searched how to connect my iPhone to Apple CarPlay in my Honda - what an awesome video and awesome taste of home!
I Justin, this is Sandie from California and I just purchased a 2019 Honda CR-V - which I love and your video was so helpful to me in learning about the Apple Play and how I can switch between the Apple Play and the Honda view in the car!! I've only had the car 5 days and haven't had time to research the data and was frustrated because sometime I want to listen to local radio and I couldn't figure it out!! Thank you so much!! If you have other videos, I will make sure to watch and learn!!
Hi Sandie! Firstly, congrats on your new vehicle! Secondly, thanks for watching. We are always happy to help, in fact, Justin has done a whole review video on the 2019 CR-V: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GlY5mhCngUk.html
This is awesome! I’ve had my CRV for three years and did not know about this feature. I was actually looking for videos on the best phone holder for my car when I came across your video. Now I don’t need a phone holder!
Thank you. I just purchased a new iphone SE. The connection does not have USB. Can I use the wall charger in the cigarette lighter to activate Apple CarPlay? Also, do I need to have the phone plugged in every time I want to use Apple Car Play? Or can I connect wirelessly? Thank you.
I have a 2016 Honda crv and I do not have a phone icon. Only two usb icons. I’m fed up trying to make this work. I do not have an Apple CarPlay option, in settings I can get the map to display using screen mirroring but as soon as I put the car into gear, it goes back to blue. I can hear but can’t see the display anymore. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated. The car tells me that I’m missing an app but not which one. I assume it’s the aha app but I can’t find it on the App Store.
Hi from Canada ! Thank you for this very explanatory tuto … It worked well till I disconnected the phone and everything was gone … What did I do wrong? Or what do I do to have it memorized ? Thank you Justin !
I have just purchased a 2020 Honda CRV EX L. When I plug in for Apple Car Play, the display icon doesn't turn green as your does. Also, I don't get notifications of text messages and I've check all settings. Suggestions? Thank you.
Hi Justin, I just purchased a Honda Pilot EX-L 2019, but for some reason why can I connect my wife's iPhone wireless to the car, I can do my android. any idea?
So this was working fine for me then one day out of the blue it stopped working. It says USB not connected when it is. It charges the phone but seems to be a glitch somewhere. I mostly use it for the GPS when I dont know where I'm going. Its been a week now trying different solutions and nothing seems to work. Any ideas?
@@Chicharitagirl Yes, the 2019 Honda Civic Sport does have the CarPlay integration. Is it connected, but Spotify isn't working? Or is it not connecting at all?
hello!! please reply asap, can this work with a honda 2016 odyssey? i can only find outlets and an aux outlet. when i plug in my phone to the outlet it only charges it please help!
My son plugged the phone into the car usb. Options showed iPod or CarPlay. He clicked iPod and also clicked don’t ask again. Now my phone will not connect to CarPlay. Any other phone you plug in will show these options again. Any suggestions please🙏🏼
Have a Honda Fit. My first Honda and last. CarPlay works for a while then craps out. No loner use it as it is unreliable. Have to reboot to get it to work.
@@deliahernandez3619 The "always enable" is just an option to automatically give CarPlay access, instead of having to accept it every time. Please note, the LX model does not come standard with Apple CarPlay, only the EX, EX-L and Touring.
