Hi, I own a GLC 250 coupé 2017 and I tried to follow your instructions. But my options under the “Telephone” menu does not include “Apple CarPlay” in the carousel…?! Do I need to upgrade something?

It all worked fine, many thanks, but when I click on an app, double click, and every way other, no app opens. Is something disabled? Clicking works fine everywhere else, like in agree/disagree etc.

I have a 66 reg 2017 a class and it does have Apple CarPlay. I connected various original Apple cables to my iPhone 11 (yes all software up to date,iOS 14), very rarely it would start working after some time of use of the car but 9 out of 10 times it didn’t work. Followed instructions to disconnect and now I can only connect via Bluetooth and my Apple CarPlay isn’t picking up the car on the CarPlay menu. Any tips? I’m plugging into the right plug also
I was able to help my bestie use her Apple Carplay for the first time after having her Benz for a year now! Because of this video. She thought she had to spend money to get it fixed! Free simple fix = best news ever. Thanks!!
Oh geez he didn't know what he was talking about. There is no need to pair the phone with bluetooth to get CarPlay to work, just plug it in with the usb and it works. Secondly you can't view RU-vid on CarPlay and third you can't view messages, only works to read out the last one received.

The video was great except you said RU-vid. Although it does look like the RU-vid icon, it is actually the “now playing” icon. RU-vid is not allowed on Apple CarPlay.

I have NO Apple CarPlay showing in my Phone carousel and cannot even see my vehicle in IPhone/Settings/General/CarPlay, although if I plug my phone into my wife’s car I get CarPlay immediately. What’s wrong?
I don't get if u have to already have to have the apple car play logo on the screen but I don't have it. I seen some ppl sell the usb adapters don't know of those work either
Excellent for me , who has been trying to connect " car play " via Bluetooth for over a week. It worked fine plugged-in , but on my last car I could get Car play without plugging in, just with blue Bluetooth.
I have a well equipped 2017 c43 amg, my vehicle doesn’t have the same icon on right usb for Apple CarPlay, nor is it my command menu. Can I go to my regular service center and have the option added?

I have a 2016 CLA 250...from what I read it should come with AppleCarplay correct? When I go within the TEL button I don't see AppleCarplay or the Android Auto even listed in there.
Can this work for Mercedes E350 2011 ? not an updated screen just original. If that doesn’t work it I update and install the new screen will it be compatible?
