OMG thank you!! I have a laptop and wanted to get a bigger screen because I'm about to start school soon. I dont want to get a computer with the mouse and keyboard. I wanted to use the monitor as a regular computer and still be able to use my laptop at the same time. This really helped

THE MOST SIMPLIFIED AND POINT TO POINT tutorial ever! Usually when you search something like "How to connect laptop to external monitor", RU-vid will show you a detailed heart transplant surgery and then say just plug two screens in the end. But this, this was neat! Please learn new things and make tutorials about them, I'll watch even if I don't need to. 😂😂

oh my gosh thank you! my coworker gave me a HDMI cord last year, and i finally got the patience to play with it, and it dawned on me to search "HDMI" in the seach menu on my laptop, and your youtbe video appeared! If i only knew it be this easy I would've done this a year ago!!!

Hey, darlin' !!! Nancy from Houston here...and I'm looking at you from my new monitor that you helped me set up! Q: I assume I keep my laptop on...this is just a screen, so the laptop has to be on for it to work, 'cuz the monitor is only connected to the internet through the laptop, right? (sorry if this is a silly question, but this is all new to me ) Thanks again for all you're help...and now I'm gonna look to YOU for any future help! :)

If you don't want to go into display settings, you can hold down windows logo key+P, and you have every option there too.

yea you can go to the settings and change moniter display settings, or you can hold (windows logo + p) to change it faster
