Did not understand your explanation of audio settings and I need to understand them to use my RODE shotgun mic plugged into the Tail-Air (TA) so the mic will appear and can be used in a Zoom meeting. My Zoom app under MacOS saw the video source from the Tail-Air, which I setup as a WiFi link between the TA and the laptop on my local LAN subnet, but there was no TA mic or audio source detected by Zoom or my MacOS audio settings panel. Would be helpful for other channel viewers I suspect, if you discuss the option to configure static TCP/IP, DNS, and gateway settings values. Those of us who have extensive networking experience sometime forget to explain network config details we take for granted understanding how to deal with. You did cover several things that were very helpful to me though, thank-you.
I speak Russian, but this does not prevent me from watching and understanding your videos with subtitles. I like how you do it. very high quality videos, grammatical speech and interesting reviews.
So if you're using it on a desktop PC no need to plug it in? Can you use it on the same WiFi network? I have a Rodecaster 2 and am using Streamyard setup on PC. I'd like to be able to grab it off the PC and take on the road with me for street interviews so that's why I'm inquiring about the connection - but I live stream daily for 3 hours.
Yes, if you're on the same network, you can just use it as a media source (I showed how to set that up in this video). You'll still need OBS in that case as far as I know, then use the OBS virtual camera into Streamyard. I'd still record to SD media as backup, which you can do while streaming over wifi
I'm sorry, I didn't test that. You're referring to the optics, right? App controls to initiate the zoom can be as far as a wifi network can go, or using VPN or gateway, it could extend globally.
I think you would need to use the DJI mic as the 3.5mm line input and switch to that source for microphone in the camera. I don't have a standalone DJI microphone, just the pack included with the Pocket 2 bundle, but that should work.
They've packed a lot of compute into the base compared to anything else though. It's like a computer or smart phone included (similar to many high end mirrorless cameras, yes, except it also has a gimbal)
Cool. The only unexpected thing for me was the USB port shutdown in UVC mode because it wanted more power than my Surfaces could give it 🙂. In wireless mode over RTSP into OBS it's brilliant once you have it going.
