I love simple ways paintings. They always leave a room for the vewers to finish them in their minds. So many artists paint roses and they tend to overdo their works, showing off as "masters", but somebody already said : the artist is not an inspired person but the person who inspires others" . I really enjoyed your teaching. Most beginners like me water is a constant struggle. I've painted in oils for 10 years or more but I always wanted to tackle watercolor. You explain things wonderfully. The brushes you used I am impressed with. Your round brush did it all and does a great job lifting as well as soaking up water forming at the bottom. I really enjoyed watching and listening and could see where your eyes flicked back and forth from painting to image as the rose slowly appeared. I also ordered a set of your two brushes. I have watched many tutorials by others using the calligraphy brush. Thank you for this great tutorial. By the by....you have a pleasant voice!

Yong, absolutely gorgeous! You keep me on edge when you paint backgrounds. I say to myself whoa that's a lot of color but it always turns out beautiful. You are fearless but that comes with years of painting.

I just ordered your set of brushes. I usually paint with Princeton Heritage round brushes #2 and #6 but since you make it look so easy using your brushes, I decided that I will get out of my comfort zone and try your brushes as soon as they arrive.

Thank you. That was an outstanding video. I appreciate your very clear demos and thorough description of what you are trying to achieve and how you tackle the job. ai bought some bamboo goat hair brushes in the art store but they were certainly not like yours. The manufacturer brought them to a point using sizing but when thst was rinsed out I had fluffy brushes that would not come to a point. There seems to be very soft feathery hair in the middle and coarse goat hair surrounding it. So I wasted my money and learned a lesson. I should have bought your brushes!!
