How to Controller Automation - Feature Specific LaunchBox Tutorials

It is important to note that this feature ONLY works OUTSIDE of LaunchBox and BigBox, so you can't use it to add more control buttons to take advantage of some of the many configuration options you can access via the keyboard (like change theme, change view and many others). And if your emulator is using the key sequence you select, it will conflict with it. On top of that, there are only 4 hard coded functions that this supports, volume up, volume down, close window and show launchbox. In addition, not all the buttons are supported on the controller (like the analog sticks, D-Pad and triggers). So basically, the only thing it really helps with is giving a hotkey to exit the emulator. If you use RetroArch, you already have that capability.

Hello, I have 4 Questions: 1. If I would like to use e.g. Minipac 2x players + 2x xbox360, one, psx, aimtrack, wiimote and other gamepad I understand that the front end recognizes everything without problems and automatically detects what is connected, I also understand that you can not simultaneously detect e.g. minipac, and 2x game pad simultaneously + Is there a problem if the xbox pad, ps3.4 turns off and I want to turn it on again, don't I have to reset the game, etc.? 2. How does the case with steam games look like some older games like MK9, MK10 Injustic need a separate program to emulate joysticks for ipac etc, i.e. the arcade panel as it looks in your frontend, you don't need any additional programs to install separately for the game to work 3. How the case looks with the RGB Arcade Button and the color settings for a given emulator game has no problem with that ?? 4. I have used Hs so far but I plan to move to your Frontend because it seems much more convenient to configure than HS but what about scripts or something like that: In Hs I use Startup and exit script: - Joy2key - Hypersearch - Randomizer 4 startup hyperspin video - No Tray Orphans etc, is there a game search engine etc in your Launchbox? can I set randomly run video at Launchbox startup?

I like what you said about your voice because I was going to ask who does these videos and if it was you who I was also talking to on the forums about getting MAME to exit from BB with a 360 controller, then you said that and I scrolled down and you had said you're welcome to someone!! LOL!! LMK about your MAME, as per my thread. And there needs to be some more sections on the forum/message board, which I will post about somewhere over there.

Please help me. I have big box and an Xtension controller, but it treats it the Xtension controller like one big controller, instead of 1st and second player (the run button for Mario All Stars is on the 2nd player side). What doi need to do to fix it? I've had this trouble for over a year.

I have latest version, 10.11 with premium lic., but on options i do not have ANY INPUT section !! Help pls, ty

launchbox In the configuration of the automatic control, which switch that is used to exit the emulator ..... the initial proceso an arcade, use USB zero delay controller (dY) and can not leave the emulator by USB, only the button (ESC)

Hi Unbroken Software Can you make a video on how to set up Ipac Ultimate I / O ? I have made a 2 player flor Arcade machine with spinner, buttons for pinball. I have programmed my Ipac Ultimate board to work with all my buttons, joysticks and spinner. in Launchbox / BigBox controller options: I can't see an opportunity to connect to my Ipac and it seems that there are far too few options in BigBox to be able to handle so many buttons - but maybe I just haven't understood the task ? I have for each player 1 joystick and 6 game buttons + 1 coin button + 1 button to select player1 + flipper buttons In addition to buttons for player 1 and 2 I also have Pause button Stop esc button Volume up Volume down Plunger button for pinball And not to forget my spinner I know that if you use RocketLauncher then there is a third party function that can connect the Ipac controller very easily. Please help me further with BigBox I am very close to giving up and have spent a lot of $$$$ i this cabinet... I've tried different button combinations in big box setting up controller automation, all works except show launch box, I assume this command is supposed to keep the emulator running and bring the big box user interface in front of it.?

Brad quick question, offer installing the drivers for Ps4 controllers, will it work on pc no problem and I could use that on my other emulators? I find Ps4 controller better than Xbox one. Also will it work wireless? Thanks in advance if you have the right answers.

Whenever I use this feature with ePSXe a confirmation dialogue box appears asking if I'm sure I want to close the game, but I cant confirm using my controller. Is there a way to fix this?

Hey Brad! Just a quick question , I am using my Xbox One Controller on this feature however I can't assign my Home button for the "Hold Button" , is this feature not available?

Noobie here i was disappointed to find i cant use my xbox 360 controller , how else can i give this launchbox a good test before buying premium version ? The keyboard doesnt seem to work either It seems an awesome program indeed , but as an ignorant noob all i can do is launch games How do i setup/use the keyboard ? As of now im just back to the emulators where i can use my controller Please advise

It's really a shame the Big Box mode and automation features like this are not available in the free version. Nobody wants to use keyboard and mouse for selecting games when playing in a couch console play situation. Honestly, sure, ask for money to pay for the work you guys do, but don't lock one of the most essential features for an emulation frontend (namely controller support) behind a paywall. Why not? Well, it means people like me, who are probably numerous enough, will never buy your premium service because we have no way of testing the waters before we take the plunge. I'm not spending money on this before I know whether it will even work with my controller setup. Right now the only reason (literally the only one) why I'm not using LaunchBox is because it's annoying to have to step away from the couch and awkwardly use the mouse (with the cursor on the TV screen a few metres away) to select a system or game. That's not how it should be. Every other frontend I'm aware of has some kind of solution for this problem that doesn't involve payment.
