Ever wonder how these toys are controlled? Well in this episode I break down how I converted this skid steer to a full RC skid steer.

Sorry I don't make them for other people but if you go o facebook there are people who make them for others. Check norstates rc construction

What rpm did you choose for the drive motors?

The model of motor only comes in one speed. It's around 200rpm.

I wouldn't spend $1600 on a skid steer. I want to make these for under $500. But look for a future video on building the new skid steer.

Well it has been modified so that the bucket servo is attached to a 3dprinted bracket. And the boom is also attached to a 3dprinted bracket. Check shapeways.com and search steinhdan and he has a modified bracket for the bucket servo.

The link for the drive gear in description. Is the gear is already printed or is that price just to buy the file so I can print it ? Would like to be able to buy them pre made for my conversion.

All the links are to buy the printed parts. You pick the material and shapeways prints it for you.

I would say this is probably a second conversion. Maybe start on the D5 dozer. It is easier to convert. This skid steer is a little more advanced. I am making an easier one but still will cost more than the Bruder D5 dozer

Yes I would say the huina 580 or the volvo ec160 from double ee is also a good one.

Search shapeways.com and type in bruder delta and all the parts you need are there to download for free. Or you can buy them and they print it.

Hello, can you tell me how to connect the Sabertooth to the receiver?

Yes you will take the fwd and turn servo wires and connect them to channel 1 and 2 or 3 and 4. Depends which stick you want to do the movements. Keep in mind if the tracks are not spinning the right direction you might have to reverse one of the channels or switch the pos and neg on one of the motors.

The build thread was removed a year or 2 ago. The motors are from Amazon. They are yellow and have 2 output shafts on each side. You would cut one side off. Yeeco motors.

Hey Ismaxxed out. for me it cost between $400 without a TX/RX. add another $100 for that. but its roughly the cost. It does not include my time to make it which is priceless ;)
