Yes sir..it still can be powered using AC and DC

I may no know exactly for your model. The basics of powering most sound systems is that there is converting the AC to DC. Most models do it by using a stepdown transformer to lower the AC voltage to around 12v AC or 24v AC. This low voltage AC is the converted to DC through a BRIDGE RECTIFIER. the rectifier is simply a special arrangement of diodes to ensure the current flows in one direction on the output regardless of the direction in the input side. To power your system on DC you need to identify the DC voltage being used in your system, the output points of the Rectifier (ensure you carefully identify the polarity of the ouput points.). Once you do that just solder your DC source wires to the rectifier output points.. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Three wires on the sendary/output side of a transformer may mean the output is center tapped.
