Learn how to easily convert an Adobe PDF file to a Microsoft Word file.
I use Microsoft Word that comes with Office 365 to do the conversion. The conversion maintains all images, tables, and text. The new Word file is editable.

Thanks. This seems to be good or the best when the text is in English. But doesn't seem to recognize one of the Indian languages, Telugu. (tEluGu). Can you help with that? Thanks.

@@shreyashree2761 I have office 2013, I had to go a different route, via the 'file' box. However, I just wanted to copy paste some text from a manual and though it converted ok, I was not able to copy text. I hope you have better luck with whatever you want to get done.

We also have to take into account that, although PDF files can be converted to Word documents, the authors of the PDF documents can also set permissions that won't allow the content to be re-used or re-edited in Word and other applications.

In this case, you can use some external tools to directly convert to real word, such as geekersoft pdf to word, a free tool

However, some of my files are not well supported. Finally, I used PDF to Word tools to help me deal with them, such as Geekersoft PDF to Word, SmallPDF, etc.

THANK YOU! I have Windows 10 and have tried everything including downloading MS PDF Reader. Nothing worked. This is brilliant. And my printer broke so it is inconvenient to do the old print, write, scan approach either. You have saved me from terminal frustration.

Wow, wish I would have found this first...Went through a million converters that needed sign in information and they all failed. Acrobat couldn't even do it correctly, which I also paid for. Literally dropped it in and it worked perfect. Appreciate it.

Gosh, great tutorial. Tested it and worked. I actually wanted to convert the PDF to Excel, but most tutorials for Excel conversation were complicated. Tried this technique on Excel but failed, so I just created Excel from the Word doc, fairly simple. Thanks heap.

Word can also load PDF files. Simply open the PDF in Word ;-)

Thanks. I was having problems saving a Publisher document with graphics to Word. Then I simply saved my publishe document to PDF and used this to save the PDF to Word.

for those who have trouble on trying to convert pdf to word docx, just save the pdf file, find it, then drag it to your desktop, then right click on it, the choose "open with" then click "microsoft word"
