Hi guys i have managed to power up this server power supply acbel ppd5002. Im uploading it because there is no information about this power supply online. Hope it will save you a lot of time trying to figure out the pinout.
Thanks for the video, got a bunch of PPD5002-2 PSU-s and your instructions worked perfectly to turn them on. The PPD5002-2 was used in in Hitachi AMS500 storage controllers. Additional disk enclosures for the AMS500 used Hitachi PPD7003(PHO840-30) LF power supplies, it has the same output connector but pinout is a bit different: To turn on the PPD7003 using your pinout schematic: connect B4 to A5 and B5, then three 12V output rails and fans get turned on. Connect A8 and B8, then two additional 12V rails and two 5V rails turn on along with green ready LED at the back and fans go to full speed mode. Power usage at 230V: PPD5002-2 no load idle full fan speed ~60 W, idle default fan speed ~42 W, idle fan off ~36 W. PPD7003 no load idle default fan speed - ~30-60 W drifting.
