I have gotten a few comments saying that it’s does need extra parts. When I made it I’m pretty sure that I didn’t use any. If anyone who has built it reads this, please let me know if you needed extra parts.
Thanks, for the video, I'm late to the lego building game. I started after my 40th birthday after watching my nephew build many sets. He's 16 now and considers himself "too old" for lego. I now have thousands of his old pieces to play with.
This is truly an amazing alternate build, there are absolutely no extra pieces needed and is super easy to follow, except at 1:52 which was slightly confusing, excellent job!
Just picked up the set yesterday, (I had my eye on this set for awhile, knowing I would convert it into a different version of the tie fighter) and I built this model. Gotta say, I freaking love this thing. How you managed to do it is beyond me but great work man! I liked and subscribed, can’t wait to see your other work. Edit: I will say, I was hesitant to build thinking the instructions would be hard to follow. However, I was completely wrong. If you’re thinking about doing this, give it a go! Super easy to follow as long as you pay close attention while building!
I just made this yesterday, and it looks really cool. It's like going sledding in space. Excellent work and instructions. Yeah, making the mirror one took some effort, but no effort wasted imho when you're done!
Great guide! Set looks awesome fully built and the stand helps! I was reading comments and wonder if maybe some of the folks who didn't have enough pieces made a simple mistake I did at first, and started building the wrong wing with the wrong bag. I ran into a moment where i thought I wouldn't have enough, but I was using the wrong bag! Hope that helps someone else as dumb of a mistake as it is to make!
Found this from a recommendation on tiktok! It’s a great build and I love the extra pieces to add some extra texture or depth to the wings! I think the “extra” pieces people are talking about needing are random filler pieces towards the bottom of the cockpit just to fill the gaps
Very good, just got done rebuilding. I changed a couple small things to clean up mine a little better and get a little better alignment for the wings, other than that, super nice, I'll definitely display it like this for a while.
wow.. just WOW. i cant believe this...omg, i was gonna get this set cuz it was cheap and in my country 1 dollar is like 7 TL(turkish money) which is unbelievebly expensive(before covid it was like 1 dolla 3TL which was good. but i didnt really like the design of it cuz its kinda small and doesnt really look like a tie fghter(in some ways) soo i founded this! and thank you. this is the BEST MOC of this set that ive seen. some people did moff gideons ship, some did the tie interceptor but all of em kinda sucked tbh soo yeah i love the design thanks :) new sub
Its a good job. Really awesome that you used the set and converted it into a pseudo TIE Striker. The only thing that is not accurate is that this needs to have a longer body. The TIE Striker doesnt have the spherical body like the standard TIE but rather a more pill shaped body. Outside of that detail, you did a great job and I totally get having a hard time making the actual body accurate without having to use any sort of extra pieces in order to accomplish it.
Honestly I love it the wing tips were a bit tricky but looks amazing we'll done I got the set for my birthday and had it complete for a while but j finally converted it today and I love it but its a bit hard to find a place for it to stand
Nice, love it, especially since now I can partially stop regretting not buying many Star Wars sets when rogue one was out (the only one I have from that wave is Vader’s transformation, as well as 2 death troopers that I bought off a friend)! Only downsides are that it doesn’t have the long cockpit which is impossible to fix without many extra parts so that’s justified and that the wings can’t go high enough to be in flight mode rather than attack mode (or the other way around idk) but this can be easily fixed by replacing the 2x3 slope pieces above the wing joints with 2x2 slope pieces although those don’t come in the set so that’s justified too.
Thanks for the heart mate, also if I ever get my hands on some large orange or brown plates I’m definitely gonna use your AT-AT build for an AT-ACT (the plates are for the side cargo hits btw)
I will say I loved this, and hated it same time. 1 wing easy with pausing to follow along....reverse engineering for other wing because having 2 done the exact same way does NOT work lol. But mirroring everything allowed me to get the wings, then was the cockpit. It would be alot better to show building it from scratch with the modifications as well. Tons of pieces left over so I used the light gray to underlay the stand and then covered the exposed knobs with the black flat ones to make it all sheer looking with the 1 middle knob pieces along the top to anchor the ship onto. Sturdier and a little high looks better imho (and what the hell had tons of pieces left over and still do). Good show. gonna try to find your star destroyer from a tie one next.
Damn bro now i really want the tie fighter seeing at the alternate versions that you taught us to make. I already have the x wing from this uear so npw i can complete the duo but make the tie look way better sonce i think that the wings are a bit too smal
I know I’m late but I would rly appreciate it if you made a stand-alone vid on how to make the right wing seeming that’s is incredibly Challenging to mirror the left wing
Thank u for all these alternate tie builds, u rocks. I buy 75300 specifically after seeing ur vid, want to ask something: from all the alt builds u’ve done from 75300, which one is the most firm “non wobbly” build? Is this tie striker one of it? Bcos I intend to build this striker rather than tie intercepter. Thx
Aye, bro, you have to make a video explaining how to make the other side of the wing, showinf the left wing parts means nothing if hou cant show how they go together
hey I was wondering if you could do a video for the other wing too, I'm struggling to put them all together and its really annoying sometimes is it possible for you to make onother video or atleast make instructions for it on a website?
I feel stupid, i bought this set but i cant find the two ten by 6 black pieces needed for very beginning of wing builds. Is anyone else having this issue?
Why did I get recommended this video right after I turned my second LEGO Star Wars Imperial Tie Fighter set into a Tie Interceptor? 😭. This Tie Striker looks so much better. 😭😭😭. And I can’t modify my first Tie Fighter because I have to keep the original set as it is. Bruh
