My sim gold part is so large that if I try to convert it to nano sim it I would have to cut the corner of it off, is that too risky?

I did mine just as I was watching this video. normal sim into a nano sim. I had no measurement or anything I just measured the both sims. the gold part was a bit longer to turn into nano sim, so I cut the gold part a bit.... and it worked :)* so happy

So you saying you can cut a standard to a nano and it will work fine???? You can cut some of the metal parts and it didn’t use that part for information??? Please let me know…

A very useful video, thanks for the upload and information. I am checking out such tools online. If its cheaper than the fee to get a sim card replaced i will purchase the tool. My sim card is still a mini sim. Some older feature phones uses a micro sim while new phones and smartphones mostly uses the nano sim.

I have a micro sim card. The problem is that the chip, the golden surface, covers all the face on that side of the sim card so I am scared of ever trying to cut it since I see your micro sim card on the video has the nano sim card profile as the whole chip, while mine is the whole micro sim card profile. Does this ruin it for me or should I give it a go?

Koop. Didn’t know these handy gizmos were available. Breaking up multi-sim into the correct size without breaking it can be fiddly. I usually use scissors but it is handy to know SIM card adapters are available too.

Dang, only have myself to blame for not just thinking of the obvious and typing sim cutter in Amazon. But then again the instructions said not to cut the sim, so that's probably why I didn't think they sell tools to specifically do just that...

Not really. Seeing as it helped inform me its just an issue of size, I slotted my sim into the oversized slot knowing I just had to line it up correctly. It worked. The information is here. What you do with it is on you. Make your own.

Please do not be rude. There are plenty of people out there that need the video because it isn't "obvious". I knew about the adaptors for making your SIM card *larger*, for instance, but had no idea how to make them *smaller* other-than the obvious of cutting them up with scissors which worries me that it might "go wrong", so I needed this video. Others do too. Not everyone. Just because you didn't need the video, that is no reason for insults. Thank you.
