ketchup used to be called "catsup" in the olden days in north america, it literally came from cantonese immigrants that made their version of sweetened tomato sauce, in chinese it's "茄汁“ which if you are cantonese, you know its pronounced "cats-up", and hence ketchup. Heinz really did take it and just changed the name.
Quang thanks for showing us how to make the best late night version of Chow Mein. I'm up late cuz i been preparing for a family vacation with my parents. Imma definitely try to impress my family with your recipe here. Thanks! 🫡🎖️
Quang im not sure why but the harmonious dings from the wok @ around 6:00 is like the "dinner's ready" bell sound, but better. Love the vod i'll be using this eventually once i get my own wok. thankfully i know how to work one lol
All the Chinese takeaways I've ever been to here in Australia all have small crunchy noodles with the chow mein. It's not bird's nest, they are just small, fried, crunchy noodles. They are awesome! My local takeaway was taken over by new people last year, and they offer the soft noodles too. I think I might need to try that, because those noodles looked amazing! I really shouldn't watch your videos at midnight. I'm starving now!
Hi quang I’ve been watching ur videos and u probably explained it but can u tell me or make a video if u didn’t about how u met ur wife . The whole back story ! U guys are the cutest !
See I like the vids, and I’m subbed, especially because you literally take the BIGGEST bites of food I have ever seen a human take, and you don’t seem to choke….ever. Lol
Hi, Q. How are you? Have you ever tried hakka indian(chinese-indian), cuisine? Its literally the best. It's an infusion of both Chinese and indian food. If you can make chicken pakora or hakka chow mein. 😋 P.s. where did you get your wok and how do you season it?
Why is it so hard to find tempora fried general tso, most places in portland make it with a heavy breading. You have to go to a small local place to find it with the tempora fry
Quang could you do a meal prep video with chicken breast/thigh i wanna learn how to cook the basics well, and you used to look super fit in your older videos so i thought u would know a thing or two 😂
I wish I could find those noodles around my area. The local Asian market by me closed recently and it's a huge bummer Also that's a legit outdoor burner. I have one too and those things CRANK
I know ur keeping up to bring back views to ur channel, but I think u should continue your asmr channel! People nowadays love watching mukbangs n asmr videos. It gets millions of views on tiktok. Thumbnail with ur homemade appetizing food, I think it’ll pick back up! Hope you’re doing well :) I’ve been years years long fan.
Looks so darn good, but I prefer my s/s sauce, water, brown sugar, soya sauce and vinegar, depnds on which ever your taste buds prefer either more sweet or more sour, as to how much to add, then cornstarch water at the end for thickening. Poor mans old time recipe from my mom.
