Eel/kuchia Fish Curry Recipe
Cooking Time: 40 min
Ingredients
✓ 250 gm Cuchia Fish ( cleaned and chopped into pieces)
✓ 250 gm potato chopped into small cubes
✓ Oil for frying and curry
✓ 1 onion
✓ 2 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
✓ Curry Leaves
✓ 4 green chilies
✓ 1/ 2 tablespoon turmeric
✓ 1 and a half tablespoon salt or as per taste ( 1 tbs for curry and half tbs to mix with raw fish )
✓ 1 tablespoon jeera powder as per taste
Steps :
For Fish
1. Mix the chopped Cuchia Fish with half spoon turmeric and salt for taste
2. In a pan, heat oil and shallow fry the chopped Cuchia Fish like you fry other fishes
3. Once fried, separate the fishes into a separate bowl.
For the Curry
1. Take a pan and pour 2 spoon oil on it and heat it
2. Once the oil is heated, pour the bay leaf and let it fry for a minute
3. Add the curry leaves and fry for half a minute
4. Pour the chopped onions and chillies to the pan
5. Fry the mixture for a minute and then add the turmeric and jeera powder
6. Add salt for taste
7. Add the chopped potatoes and blend the mixture. Stir and fry for 2 minutes and then cover it with a lid.
8. Cover the lid for 5 minutes and let it shimmer.
9. Open the lid and then pour 3 cups of water.
10. Steam the pan for 10 minutes and then pour the fried pieces.
11. Cover the lid and let it steam for another 10 minutes
12. Open the lid and you can add coriander for garnishing
13. Voila! your fish is ready
