Nice video 🤗I tried to cook bamboo shots first time in my life today. I put dark soya souce, oyster souce, pepper, dry garlic and tomato paste.. 😁 I still enjoy it, but tastes like something new. Especially in my interpritation 😅
I ordered some pickled garlic from Amazon. I must say I like the one in the packages they come cold packed. ones in the jar. They were good too but they were spicy. I ordered from Amazon the cold pack ones which are absolutely delicious or quite expensive $19 and it was a small pack.
No, only cook for 1 hour if it's raw bamboo shoots like mine. Yours in the plastic, is it already cooked or still raw? If it's already precooked, then you would need to just bring a pot of water to boil and blanch it.
@@meeliving1345 Thanks soo much... I believe it was already cooked...(I didn't know) I boiled it for a few minutes then tried it to see its texture... it was soft with a light crispness to it. I'm sure it was done.... it taste done to me 😆🤣😂 I had it and all while eating it I was thinking of different ways to cook it and what I can pair it with. It's sooo versatile!
These look so good! where can I buy these in the United States?(not from China) I am in Washington. Also can you tell me why you don't cover it while boiling it? And should you use the water drink the water after it's cooked lots of nutrition in it??
These bamboo shoots are grown in America in North Carolina. In Washington you can shop at the Asian grocery store but make sure you ask where the bamaboo shoots came from before you purchase it. In terms of covering the pot while cooking, you can cover the pot, but I just didn't. You have the option to drink the juice also if you want.
