If you for example have a series of videos under a show title, would you want to copyright each episode individually or simply copyright the show name?
Kudos for the Video! Forgive me for chiming in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you thought about - Proutklarton Winner System Plan (do a google search)? It is a smashing one off product for discovering how to write publish and sell your ebook in 7 days minus the headache. Ive heard some decent things about it and my mate finally got cool success with it.
I have a question, if hypothetically I write a story based on the sequence of scenes that I watched from a movie I saw before will that bring up copywrite issues ? For example , friends discovering a passage to another world and from there meeting non-human characters and having an adventure there thru entering a closet ...
Basically, the answer depends on how you as the creator execute the story. If you copy the story and rename the characters from Narnia, then that’s copyright infringement. However, the idea of a fantasy world within a closet can’t be copyrighted, while the characters, dialogue, and other details are protected. So you could hypothetically use the fantasy-world-in-a-closet idea, but for everything else it's best to stick to original content to avoid issues. Hope this helps!
I have two questions, I want to post my original poetry in RU-vid but I am worried about plagiarism. In this case, what pre-measures do I need to take? What can I do if the artwork gets stolen and published without my permission?
If you’re worried about plagiarism, consider getting your work officially registered with your country’s copyright office. If you’re posting artwork online, consider adding a watermark to your images so people will have a harder time taking credit for your work. If you find someone has taken your work, contact the person directly and have a calm, civil conversation about the issue. Unfortunately, there’s no guaranteed way to prevent people from plagiarizing your work, but hopefully the methods above can give you peace of mind.
I'm not an artist but I'm trying to find ways to make money online while finding a job by selling my art Abstracts. I know copyright exists the moment you create the work but I'm just afraid of people profiting off my artwork without my permission. I wanna register my artwork with the US copyright office but I didn't know you have to pay. I honestly don't wanna pay anything just wanna sell my artwork
Question I’m actually getting into songwriting and if I were to open another instagram/Facebook page and post my songs that I’m selling how would I do that?
Hi, I have a question, and hoping for a reply if someone could help please. I have a 'method' of improving a product, by mixing a generic product into another product, which would improve it and make it easier to work with - (anyone could buy the two products needed), I would like to make a RU-vid video, as a tutorial, sharing how you must combine these two 'products/ingredients' together. Would this be regarded as a method - or would it be possible to copyright my video content? many thanks and great info too :)
You would still own the copyright in whatever you create, *but* you're taking a big legal risk. Some software programs have a "phone home" feature that connects to the company's server and sends it the serial number of your program along with your IP address. If that serial number is known to be associated with a widely pirated copy, then the company could potentially track you down and sue you. It's also possible that the software will embed some kind of invisible watermark into whatever you create that will let them know whether you created it using legit or pirated software. So my advice is to either purchase the software you need or look for a legal free alternative like open source software. Most genres of paid software have a free open source equivalent that will let you get the job done if you can't afford the paid version (e.g. compare Microsoft Office to LibreOffice or PhotoShop to GIMP). So there is really no need to pirate anything even if you're a financially struggling digital creator.
hey can we do a copyright strike on a video if someone makes a content all out of our video whitout even adding a thing? and maybe you can show us what to do if someone does that, like what would you do if someone clips this video and puts it on youtube with just changing the music. What would you do if you didnt wanted that guy to do that?
I want to make my own copyright music, If someone covers mine without permission, I'll take reuploaders down! btw I'm from the Philippines, I wanna make my own copyright with multi tracks tho.
Perhaps. Before you take any action, ask yourself if the clip falls under "fair use." Under American law and the law of a number of other countries, it's okay to use short snippets of copyrighted content from others without their permission for illustrative purposes like commentary, review or criticism. For example, if she made a video responding to you, and her use of the clip was necessary to give some context for her response, then she would have a strong case for fair use. But if she is simply showing the clip without any associated commentary, or is just using it to spice up her own video (e.g. using a clip of your music as part of the soundtrack of her video), then that is most likely not fair use and you can "copyright her."
Say you make fanart and craft's of cartoon shows, games, and ect. And it's in your own art style and hasn't ever been crafted before.Would you still be able to copyright stuff like that even if it's not an original.
Question: I pay an artist to draw some characters for me, and I want to copyright my own characters, will that person/artist be in trouble if she has the art that I pay her to draw?
I have a video that was featured in a documentary that I signed a consent form for them to use. My question is since the documentary was copyrighted, would my material that was included be copyrighted as well ?
There are two separate issues here: (1) Whether what you are doing is legal, and (2) if it will be a copyright strike. If you're using someone else's mix tape as part of the soundtrack of your video, you are probably infringing upon someone's copyright if you didn't get the proper permissions. But whether it will be a copyright strike depends upon whether the copyright owners find out and whether they decide to take action against you. Needless to say though, it's better not to simply not take the risk. Get permission for any snippets of songs you use, buy a license or create your own music.
If we make a music and publish it on the RU-vid... and if another guy take the music and use it on their video.. will.. the get copyright claimed? ... I mean.. will that song.. be mine still?/..?
So most of the Things listed that I needed to do told me I had to put my legal name address and fax which I am still confused about I'm trying to copyright someone for stealing my video's and others aswell and the person I'm copurighting makes very sexual content but what I am mainly focused on is taking her video down because the person who stole did not get my permission
When you're logged into your YT account, the little bell icon in the upper right will notify you if a copyright infringement/"match" has been detected on the platform.
The only way to copyright infringe someone else's content is by buying their content directly, or helping to pay for their copyright addition. And if you want to use it try to get on their side of the board, and talk your way through telling them you don't want a copyright strike/claim. Also if you are friends with the creator they most likely won't care.
Okay so there is this guy that steals my prouducer tag and use my name in the title without my permission. He also stole songs from another people without THEIR permission so I summit a copyright thing with all of his videos that had my name. I waited like almost 5 hours no reply by RU-vid what do I do?
@@GCFLearnFree it's not name actually... Its where i put my signature on somthing i create. Like... Its a word i created and use as a username on soials
I made a youtube video that was gaining me alot of subs and someone took it from me and put it as copy right and i got a strike even tho i made that video
I posted a video by talking to a famous people in Instagram then I uploaded. But it only got 63 views but tose RU-vid who took my video and posted got more than 35 to 50 k views😞
Thank God they don't!! Science, computing, technology, and even cooking (i.e. recipes) would be much more restrictive and onerous if procedures could be copyrighted for the life of the author + 70 years. Of course, the specific way in which you express a procedure can be copyrighted, but a procedure itself is merely a set of facts, and facts are not capable of copyright protection. Otherwise the growth and transmission of knowledge would be far more restricted. The benefits to society in general of not being able to copyright a procedure far outweigh the costs to those who come up with a new one.
He lying about not copyrighting ur name.. U can copyright ur name this is misinformation. U can put people names in ur copyright. I did it long time ago & they did nothing
