Tip 1: Loosen Up and Breathe - 0:11 Tip 2: Look Ahead - 3:25 Tip 3: Sit at the Apex - 3:53 Tip 4: Drag Front Brake Through the Rut - 6:33 Bonus tip: Get on the Bank Early - 7:57 Tip 5: Weight on Outside Peg - 9:48
You don't, you should always be above the bike, never lean inside the bike, you lean the bike down underneath you and put all of your wight on that outside peg. If your leaning inside the bike in a corner your doing it wrong and you'll eventually get hurt when the bike drops on you in a high speed corner
Aj has a nice video on braking, you use both front and rear together on entry if needed then you use the front when you have to throughout the corner to keep the front tire at the base of the rut so you don't ride out of it and cross rut
THE BEST WAY TO INCREASE YOUR CORNER SPEED IS TO WIRE THE THROTTLE WIDE OPEN, PUT IT IN 4TH GEAR AND TAKE THE SHIFTER OFF AND TAKE THE BRAKES OFF OF THE BIKE. THEN YOU WIL GO THE FASTEST THAT YOU EVER HAVE IN A CORNER! BRAKES ARE FOR PUSSIES ANYWAY!
Great vid of the do's and don'ts whilst in live action. The repetition on that isolated corner really helped solidify the training content. I think this is a successful formula that most MX trainers do not incorporate these days.
