Mark Montano Hey Mark! Lovely video as usual👌🏼Just wondering if any old silicone will do? At home right now I have bathroom/Clear Silicone, OR a White indoor/outdoor. Is there one that's more recommended? What is your experience with the clear? (I'm thinking it might be entirely wrong to use the clear 'bathtub' stuff but...?) And of course THANK YOU for your shares, time and energy in responding & making these helpful beautiful DIY projects for us to try ourselves👍🏼😍😘🎁😀!!

Professionals use a product called Donald Durhams “Rockhard" Water Putty to fix antique ornate pieces. I just found out myself and going to buy it today at Home Depot for only a couple of bucks you get a 1 pound of powder that last forever. It can be sanded and stained and dries fast, no mess with 2 parts. Sounds perfect for Antique furniture restoration. Reviews are 5 stars on the stuff. Great stuff to make 3d parts for furniture or frames. Supposedly they have been using it for centuries and still today.

I always love homemade craft recipes. Thanks Mark! Here is one for you and your followers. If you only need a few replicas try Silly Putty. Foodgrade silicon is available for commercial use, but is quite expensive and does not come in small containers, last time I checked. Veggie oil works as well as baby/mineral oil to make molds flexible. Food color is not lightfast, and fades pretty quickly. Hope this helps!

***** No only with silicone. But why do you want to use resin ? Another way to do it : put silicone into water with A LOT of liquid soap, no starch. Knead the Silicone in the soap and it is going to start hardening. When you like the consistency, you can make your molds. I let them sit for an hour but can be less as long as it is hard. And that's it ! You can mold candy, even the softer ones like gelly bears, or any other stuff. Just before taking the print, put your items into the liquid soap before, it will prevent from sticking.

I want to make a rose mould with little height. How to do that? I mean after putting rose in the silicone, i need some height so that i have enough room that i can put soap solution in the ready mould later. Pls guide pls

OMG! Thank you! Thank you! THANK YOU! The reason I have not done any resin crafts is because the molds or the stuff to make the molds is so expensive! This is amazing! I forgot to tell you! I found two bed head boards a few weeks ago! I just have not had time to make them into a bench, but when I do make them I will send you photos! :D

Krystie Martinez Hey Krystie, This works for resin, but not the best unless you get it just perfect. It's best for 2 part plastics and clay. Sometimes the resin doesn't set unless you have 100% clear acrylic. Try that first without the paint and see if it works for resin. but it's hit or miss.

Thanks! Just don't use with resin or food. Use things like 2 part plastics, plaster, soap, clay or hot glue!
