One of the biggest worries newer providers have is causing an eyelid ptosis on a patient. While its possible to reduce the risk of ptosis, it can happen to even the most experience providers. Here I explain why an eyelid ptosis/droop can happen after neuromodulators and how to treat it. I also discuss some promising studies discussing potential future treatments for neuromodulator acquired ptosis. Eyelid ptosis can occur after treatment with any type of tox/neuromodulator including Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau, Daxxify.
