Here are some other tips worth mentioning against Vecna :) - When dodging Flight of the Damned, the ONLY time you CAN'T crouch is if Vecna has the "Book of Vile Darkness" iridescent add-on (which you can tell if there are only 2 skulls instead of 5), so in this case, you can only dodge inbetween the skulls - You can see a purple timer on the survivor HUD for all the survivors hit by the Dispelling Sphere, which can give you a good idea of where the ball is located (as long as you know where the survivors are!) - You can see all the magic items each survivor has equipped on the survivor HUD, which is a great way to tell it's Vecna at the start of the trial! I hope these help, and if you have any more tips comment them below!
Sharp, my brother in Christ, flight of the damned is NOT his strongest spell 😭, also seeing that mage spell is about to be used you definitely shouldn’t drop the pallet because by the time it’s picked up vecnas cooldown will be over and it will be a free hit
Having a ranged M1 is definitely his strongest ability with the skulls (which is why it’s arguably the easiest to counter 😂), and dropping the pallet right before mage hand is a good strategy unless Vecna is RIGHT next to you, in that case he could probably just go for the hit or it would be best to keep running past the pallet!
@@sh6rpshotI'd say it's his weakest ability, it's good for zoning but rarely gets hits. Mage hand is very strong now and basically guarantees a hit if your play it properly.
@@sh6rpshotmage hand is the strongest because it can garuntee hits, flight of the damned can be crouched and stepped between, its main purpose is often zoning. It being easily counterable is why it’s so bad
@@sh6rpshot not really, you can doge the Skeletons very easy but when you loop Vecna and when you drop a Pallet he use magic Hand and gets instand a Free hit
The only way I found to counter him really viable is to throw the pallets before he is close, because you can rarely hit him with the pallets and neighbor no matter what he is going to hit you with his lifting of pallets and shooting of skulls, his free hits are so absurd that if you don't play with people who know how to repair, it's GG@@Imso3vil89
1:04 so this is actually stronger for Vecna. So far in my games, if I know a survivor is going to or has to drop a pallet, I can preemptively cast Mage Hand on it so that it's lifted as soon as it's dropped, letting me go through the pallet and make distance because dropping the pallet causes you to stop moving, but Vecna lifting it does not.
As I said in another comment, this definitely depends on how much distance you have between you and Vecna! In my clip it worked, but if he was even half the distance closer you’re right, it wouldn’t work. So the best case would be to keep running (as in the first tip of keep looping!) or w-key to the next loop :)
Btw the pallet pickup is not useless at all, if a vecna picks up a pallet the second you put it down he can immediately catch up and hit you. Other than that good explanation. But yea mage hand is incredibly strong.
It’s definitely not useless, but in my example clip if Vecna is pretty far away, it won’t save much distance, if anything with the pallet animation it’ll end up with Vecna being the same distance away, just without mage hand to use during the loop!
@@sh6rpshot oh yea for sure, if you pick up a pallet from a distance with vecna you wasted your MH, for sure, and vecna is a super complicating killer so covering everything in 2 minutes would be nie impossible as well,
@@sh6rpshot you did receive well given the two minute time frame as well btw, you could write a small book on vecnas ability’s and how they work tbh so you covering so much is impressive
Little side note: If you are dead on hook and have either vecnas hand or eye he can quickly mori you so maybe think twice about using those items if you have decisive strike
Yes! It gives you an achievement if you use one and escape the trial (but also gives Vecna an achievement for mori-ing you and getting a 4K) so it might be worth it :)
calling he skeletons his best power when mage hand exists is crazy skeletons honestly suck they are super easy to dodge but mage hand is just a free hit button on any chase
There's like a half a second cool down before it can be used again, so the best it'll do is break line of sight for a few seconds in chase, remember it's a one way portal as well
