Thank you so much for the tutorial I wanted to add a little video of what I created because your amazing pattern was a launching pad for me to get creative. I hope to share some things I added… I will look for your website/blog to see if I can upload a video with some Ideas to include with the fabric cover! Thank you so so much I love your excellence!!!
I had given up the idea of covering composition notebooks until I found this video! Simple, no fuss, easy to follow instructions that gets the job done! Thank you.
Made 2 of these so far, Thanks to your tutorial👍 I only used 2 layers. Backing and main, plus the inner pockets. I just used thicker fabric. All 100% Cotton. I'm thinking of making more for Christmas. Thank you!
Loved this tutorial! Thank you for sharing your knowledge! Made a cover for an elderly relative so they can write down important info (early-onset dementia). Embroidered it with their name & added a small “loop” to hold a pen. They loved it!! Thank you!@
Hi, just discovered this tutorial. So easy to follow, thank you. Can I ask, if I want to make for different size books roughly how much extra fabric do I need to allow for seams and thickness of books? Only new to this type of thing so not quite sure how to calculate the amount of fabric I need. Many thanks 😊
I just made me a cover…however, I had to rip my stitches off because my notebook didn’t fit inside. I just ended up sewing the opening shut. Love my new cover and I want to make more 😊 Thanks, Angie for a wonderful tutorial. ❤
Oh I love this! Where did you get that shabby chic fancy?!!! I need some. These will make lovely Christmas gifts. Blessings, Laurie from New Hampshire.
l really like your teaching style 😊 please, what size is your composition notebook? l made one but it was too sloppy. Took it apart and made smaller but now not as smooth. What is your trick to closing the opening and not getting a pucker? Thanks so much!!
Hi Sheryl, here's the one I use: amzn.to/38pIpPp I will admit that it took me making three of four of them before I got the hang of it. The composition books can vary by 1/8" and that can make it super challenging.
I am a nooby to sewing and so you all will think this is a silly question but how do you get pockets on inside? Do they just flip inside out and go in to center? I'm so sorry I am just confused about that step. Your cover is beautiful and I would like to try this out and thank you so much for the printable instructions. Tfs :)
Louise, it's hard to explain it by typing ... but if you watch the video where I explain how to layer them before you sew it... it works out perfectly. The sandwiching of the fabric is the trick to getting it to work.
@@chicnscratch I watched video and read the pdf but like I said I am new to it so I will just have to give it a try and hope it turns out as beautiful as yours or at least close to it. I love your cover and I know my daughter would love to have one. Thank you for replying. Hope you have a wonderful Easter!
