Thank you for all your hard work here. Folks who truly have skin issues need the special tips you highlighted. The Wayne Goss technique of swirling in both directions is a game changer. In another video you also mentioned another brilliant trick of his of applying just the slightest veil of powder between primer and foundation. The Danessa Myricks product is so unique and effective. Taking the time with a pencil to camouflage the darkest, most pronounced spots, is so much better than slapping on product to a larger area. Lisa Eldridge has a good video on this. Learning that less is more is tough until you see yourself in natural lighting at an angle after your full coverage foundation has settled a while on oily, textured skin. IT cosmetics Bye Bye Pores loose powder is magic and the effect lasts longer than any other product I’ve ever found. A well formulated BHA at night is essential to keep pores clear and as tight as is possible. Tid bit: the binding ingredients used in pressed powders contribute to eventual cakiness. Thank you again. Terrific video.
I love this video, you’ve done a great job 👏🏽 thank you for not shying away from showing your bare skin and helping people who like me struggle a lot with texture. Much love to you ❤️
This is hands down the BEST video I’ve ever watched for techniques on how to REALLY cover texture, pores, post acne scars, conceal imperfections without using heavy makeup! When my skin is going through it I don’t like wearing heavy makeup at all. I think it makes my skin look even worse! I paused the video and ordered the Caliray Skin Tint, the Bare Minerals Veil powder which I used to use all the time in my 20’s!! I wonder if Bare Minerals sells that brush anymore? It was one of favorite brushes back in the day! I already bought the Jones Road pencil sticks based off of your recommendation and I love them! I’m so blown away Maryam you look FLAWLESS!!! The skin looks so beautiful and so natural! I really need to get the DM Yummy Skin Blurring Balm! I loved all of the close ups and how you did them after each step you got to really see the transformation! Great video ❤❤❤
Thank you very much for share this with people dealing with acne scars. We are usually not considered when doing tutorials or talking about makeup and beauty!❤❤❤❤❤
This was AMAZING!!! BUYING all the products. It's such a great video on going back to basics. Please, please do a tutorial on the "glam" version of this look. Thank you so much!!!
Maryam! I’m so happy you filmed this video!! I’m still watching BUT yes PLEASE film a video for covering texture, pores, inflammation all of it but for special occasions! I’m the Maid of Honor for one of my best friends wedding in November and I want to look my best 🥰 I don’t know if you can film it before the middle of November but I would love to see that video
Thank you SO much Maryam for keeping it real! You're the best! And YES please do a video when you have to get more glammed up. I'd truly appreciate it! xoxoxo
Omg thank you!!! Best video re: natural look for acne prone skin like me! Going through pre-menopausal and my skin is like a teenager again 😫! Thanks girl for your video!!!
Wow this was so amazing 👏 thanks for your tips. I feel like a lot of people don't do this kind of video. I definitely have all of the above. So thanks again! Enjoyed watching :)
Finally...someone with actual large pores and oily skin. It looks so natural. I can't wait to try some of the newer products you mentioned. I've tried bate minerals back in the day...but I might have to give it another shot. Thanks *new subby*
I too had forgotten what a gem mineral veil is, like you I pulled it out when I wasn’t happy with the powder I was using. A hidden gem I’ve found is Sonage’s Glow to Go, glycolic acid peel pads. They have helped my texture so much. It’s Glow Recipe’s Watermelon Glow Toner, but better. The pads are textured, and kind of feel rough on the skin, but I really like that for some reason. I highly recommend the product.
This video was very, very helpful! I too have textured, oily, acne-prone skin so finding the right blend of products for everyday use has been a struggle. Thank you so much for tips!
Thank you for sharing . I too have acne prone skin and I tend to use full coverage foundation to hide the scars. I’m definitely trying this routine. Thx ❤
I’m loving the yummy skin balm. I moisturize first otherwise it’ll cling to dry patches, apply shade #3 and then powder my tzone and it literally lasts my 8 hour shift at the office annd then some. Thanks for posting this!!
I love that your hair is getting longer. So pretty. I love hair long. This is going to be perfect. I have bumps and texture. Gots some miles on this face !!!😮😮😮😮😂
I love you so much and can’t believe I haven’t seen any of your videos in years but still till this day you are my favorite Thankyou for this because with this weather change and diet cheating I for sure needed this
Just dug my mineral veil loose powder, same as yours, off the shelf and dusted it off and am going to try it in the morning getting ready for work. I tried it once and it's been sitting on the shelf for probably a year at least, didn't like it. I will keep you updated after I try it in the morning in my makeup routine
@@MaryamMaquillage most definitely! I can't wait to try it! The way your skin looked after the application of the mineral veil was chef's kiss 💋! I will let you know in the morning!
Hey lady!!! Hope all is well with you! I am so glad to watch this video I just started and of course I always leave my comment first! But I have a horn in the middle of my forehead right now lol I suffer from cystic acne enlarged pores because I'm oily AF! And I have ton of acne scars unfortunately because I do suffer from cystic acne some of the scars are very deep! But as always I always enjoy your videos XOXO #TeamTruth
I keep coming back to this video. The explanation is sooo good. I will be trying these products and techniques. Can I ask how you use sunscreen with this routine? Since I wanna do this during the day.
My pores are the size of Texas but my skin is typically more dry/combination so I struggle to minimize my pores and texture without looking crusty and dry. I might try the DM balm stuff and the bare minerals powder. For awhile I really liked the tatcha silk canvas balm stuff but it's starting to look really dry especially under my eyes. At first it seemed smoothing but idk either as it gets older it changes or my skin has changed but I no longer enjoy it.
Omg, I was just thinking about bare minerals mineral veil too! It was my go to as well and I don't know why I stopped using it. I see they have pressed and colored versions too. You have reminded me to repurchase! Thanks!
@@MaryamMaquillage going straight in my cart! I also remember their brushes. They were my go to brand in my 20s. I even remember asking a friend traveling back to US to pick up the mineral veil because I couldn't get it in Japan 👌 Now that I think about it, I started using the by terry hydra powder....
This is incredible!!! I’m definitely going to be grabbing the bare minerals powder! I used to use that also! I’m wondering if I can use my Danessa Myricks balm powder in a color the same way you used it here.
Hi any idea how to conceal a small lump from migrated filler. It’s on my cheek just below my tear trough area. We tried To dissolve twice with no success. Just had co2 14 days ago to see if that will help. Probably won’t so I need to conceal it This is 8 year of filler 😢. Worse part is I have never worn foundation
Hi, does the BareMinerals Mineral Veil powder cause any break outs or clogged pores? I'm looking for a new face powder, but everything seems to break me out😅
Y texture is more related to dry patches and flakiness but even knowing our different skin types I am STILL tempted to pick up the Jones road pencil and bare minerals powder 😕😂😂
