It's awesome seeing you fishing with your Dad. Mine passed away just before last Thanksgiving. We were talking about trying to go fishing one more time but never did . Those are precious times brother!!
Hey Danny. I'm sorry you and your daddy didn't get that last fishing trip. My daddy turns 76 this month and every trip means the world to me. I started recording our trips way before RU-vid so I'll always have them. Fishing with our Fathers are mighty special times. I'm sure you made a lot of good memories with yours.
How does your spot/anchor trolling motor work being offset? I have a similar boat with offset trolling motor mount, just don't have spot lock motor yet.
I'm not sure if I understand about being offset. That's the only way I could mount mine. My Garmin doesn't lock me into an exact spot. It probably moves a few feet when locked it. It sounds like it's choking itself on the cables. It's better when it's windy or if you have a lot of current.
I use to go fishing with my grandfather when I was a kid. He would get drunk until he couldn't walk and let me drive the boat. He would eat the minnows for shock value. I miss that old fool
