But most often I record the whole thing and analyze as I work the other way around. What I make live already exists in some capacity as a track that I work on semi dawlessly
@@AnalogKitchen thanks for your response A.K. My workflow is different. I record my performance as audio (as a reference/dummy track). Then go back to organize my midi patterns as a song that will be tracked out, mixed and mastered. I any event, thanks for what you do because it has allowed me to finish tracks. I’m about to release my first house/techno E.P. very soon.
I have access to a software version of a 3 oscillator synth that is mostly feature complete. (Waveform selection. Mix or Amplitude Modulation(am) or Pulse modulation(pm). ASDR envelope on volume, cutoff and reso. FX chain potential..Course tuning on each oscillator. Fine tuning. Etc. The synth I use also has a spread and phase (0-360) setting yet that is very difficult to use properly). Yeah bruv...you can get some dank sound right quick. Science ftw. I dont think you truly need more than that unless you want to buy very expensive cheatcodes.
There is another aspect of analog or modular synthesis that many do not realize. If routed properly, the setup becomes an actual physical instrument. That is possible for certain with daw's and digital products. However: computers are glitchy. Midi doesnt always send and the full studio mode of that skill is equally as expensive or more expensive(once you add in the soft synth gas).
The only thing I would dislike about that synth is that it does not have more keys on the keyboard lol. I need to remember that it is supposed to be a DJ tool moreso than a piano.
At this price point I’d even suggest to get the module and save space. That way you can get any custom master keyboard and cater to your needs specifically?
@@AnalogKitchen Right now I am just trying to play 2 handed keyboard as well as I can, yet only as a hobby. That ability to play 2 separate patterns, and one with each hand is a very intellectually interesting and challenging skill. I have so much respect for skilled piano players. Now I want to steal the skills and apply it to guitar lol.
If you cut your intro music out to actually demo the final product. People will appreciate your channel as being in pocket… not 5 minutes in. Less minutiae please.
People would appreciate... As much as I hear ya, you do make it sound as if you went around with a survey so I ask, is this your humble opinion or did it come up in group? Thanks for watching
