So I create an EPS or AI file of the logo to the left here... and when I import it into AE it is pixelated. I've clicked the Continuously Rasterize button in AE, but still, it's pixelated heavily. Anyone?
Mate, thanks for this!! I had High Quality instead of lossless and RGB + Alpha was greyed out but I button smashed until I figured it out and it worked a treat.

Having issues with the extrude function. Clicked the 3d box, in Cinema 4d renderer but no extrude option in the geometry options. Tried to create shape from vector but thats greyed out in the layer menu as well... Any suggestions?

Up the bevelling on the 3D shape and make sure the reflections are high, then yeah you can add an environment layer if needed, but should like a chrome design naturally! (May need to play with lighting position a bit)
Hey Louis, great tutorial! I'm having an issue. I've set the key frames as you showed, but after I exported and everything there is still a noticeable "jump" when the loop starts over. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Hey, Thank you! Make sure there is a full rotation between the two points and make sure that the points are right at the start and right at the end of the timeline (for the end frame you have to have it going half off the timeline to make sure its on the last keyframe like I did in the video) Should loop seamlessly if these are both correct
Could you do a video breaking down how you this specific logo with the spinning text in Illustrator please? Like when I search how to make a logo in illustrator all these crap generic ones come up but I want to make a sick looking logo like your one, in illustrator before going into after effects to make it spin and turn it 3D. Amazing video. Liked and subscribed! I have a question that maybe you can help answer. I have a 2 layer logo (front and back that are different) and when spinning would like it to show the front and when turned half way, show the back. Would the process be making the timeline of layer 1 stop at half turn (side) and having layer 2 start at half way (side), essentially having each layer do 180 degrees? Or am I wayyyy off?
I'm having this issue and from some very quick research i think the answer may be an "expression" which is a bit of java script code you can add into after effects. Thats all i know without researching further. Did you end up finding a solution?
Hello Louis. I've made one of my layers a shape but can't chage it's colour as the fill option is not available. Would this be because I didn't expand the layer in Ai?
Awesome tutorials! I just have one problem, when I create a shape from a vector layer on my layers, I have a gray flate "cube" that appear, on wich I can control and add 3D effect but it's not my logo, I don't if that ever happened to you before, thank you for this channel and your time!
I think there may have been an update.. stopping you from being able to drag movie files into photoshop. I’ll do some digging and find out a new method!
It don't export properly after photoshop bruh. I keep getting an error message and when I lower the "image size %" in the save to web window to allow the export to work, the quality is trash. I don't know how to export it whilst keeping full quality!?!??!?

Yo Louis I got a question. Basically you know when you clicked create shape from vector layers? My logo has a white background in it and idk how to get rid of it. Any tips? I want it to be transparent like yours but don’t know how to do it 😫
And also it’s weird cuz my logo isn’t centralised like yours? Idk how to get it in the middle cuz atm it’s stuck to the left and when it rotates it goes all the way to the right and then back around to the left
Is your logo a vector file? As in in illustrator is it outlined as a shape? If not there are ways to do this from a JPG but this way isn’t the method you need.
@@LouisMoss yhyh its a vector file, i have one layer as the main text and circle, and another layer for the text on the outside as i want the middle icons (text on top of 3 diamonds) to spin and the text on the outside to also spin. I literally dragged it as an EPS file saved from Illustrator into After Effects like you said by importing it as a composition.
I've fixed the logo so its centralised but i still dont know how to get the outline of the 3 diamonds as an image and outline it as a shape because I need then to be extruded as part of the logo
this didn't work and maybe I didn't understand illustrator that well.. is there somebody that can give a better tutorial on how to do this.. I already have a transparent logo I'll put it in illustrator. what do I do then? do I need to make another layer or what what am I doing wrong?
@@LouisMoss Maybe you should put that in your title, but I found a simple way of doing it using Photoshop so much more easier.. but also in this tutorial you could have explained it a little bit better a step-by-step even with illustrator cuz I don't know crap about illustrator. I have never used it before or needed to. in any case I respect the fact that you took your time and made a tutorial, thank you..
Hi Louis! Thank you for the video. Super helpful. Question: I followed step by step and everything looks perfect except when I copy the sticker to my instagram stories, it's flashing like its glitching instead of a smooth rotating sticker. Do you know why this is?
I have mine spinning but it spins too wide, making it difficult to fit it into a project I'm having in premiere pro. how do I change it so that it doesn't spin as wide?
i have a 2 layer logo aswell saved it as eps file when i load it in after effects it loads as one i tried clicking it doesnt show the logo in layers,any idea what im doing wrong?
@@LouisMoss I open my illustrator files in the after effects, when I give one of the layers to create shades frim vector layer The logo does not appear, it only looks like a gray square
Make sure your artwork is split in illustrator onto two separate layers. Then when you drop it into after effects make sure you select the drop down so you drop the artwork in as a composition. If you double click on that composition it will show your artwork on separate layers so you can animate individually! 🤙🏼
