Today, I'm going to be showing you how I style my DIY wrap skirt in 9 different ways! From a traditional maxi skirt to a stylish mini skirt, dress, or even a blouse, there are so many looks you can create from this versatile skirt.

Tips for selecting the perfect fabric!
1) Find a fabric that cuts clean and does not fray.
2) Pick a fabric that's opaque, not sheer.
3) Select a 4-way stretch fabric for versatility!
4) Decide whether you want to create a patterned or solid color skirt! Make sure to select a print that looks good wrapped in different directions.

This would be great for trips where you can't take a lot of clothes, like a weekend bike trip or when you fly and don't want to check any luggage. A double sided wrap skirt and several t shirts would fit in a back pack or a carry on.

So if you're one of those people who use safety pins on a regular basis (like I am), buy yourself a box of them and some spray paint. Spray paint different pins the same color as the article of clothing you use it with this way you don't have to worry about the silver showing on your outfit.

I love the infinity dresses. I will make this wrap skirt for my 13 yr old Granddaughter, who like most girls her age NEVER has anything to wear. I love that the skirt will growing sophistication with her. It is a ideal holiday pack to dress by the pool & dress up for at night when eating out.

So I love this . I grew up on a farm in western Oregon, my mother was a seamstress and made wedding dresses for people, we made a lot of our school and church clothes,wrap pants and skirts were a couple. We also made shirts, handkerchief shirts with a square neck and flowy sleeves. They were so fun and cute. Thank you for these patterns and all of the inspiration! Love you!

So I’ve made a couple of these now and love them and something I wanted to add is regarding how much you tie up and how much you leave when wearing it as a simple skirt - you can actually make it more practical the same way. Full coverage = more of a blanket for cold weather, more revealing = tied back and out of the way. Assuming it’s not a precious fabric it also gives you the option to use some of that side fabric for wiping up something then you can just tie it up lol. Gross yes but It’s great for me as a mum because it gives me options for when I’m out with my kids. I’ve even had my little one hide under my skirt in full cover mode for a game of hide and seek lol

I am binge watching you!!! Oh wow I did not see the doc marting one you did- I will find that video. Love the criss croos its very figure flattering and makes oh yes got doc martin boots. Friend worked a shoe repair shop so she has done for boots. I am a terrible bow tier but will watch again & again til I get it straight. Shani you are genius at all these options. This is so much fun to watch and so easy to do- I love that. lol would do safety pin. I dont know if my safety pins are good ones or not?? You could also use a large metal or tortoiseshell design ring on the belt/strap/tie that you gathered to give it another look. Love what you do with what are basically simple pieces of fabric!! :) Just wish I was slim as I used to be ... At age 63 the belly fat/middle age spread began to appear ... so now at age 70 ... it's a tad soul destroying ... But, I oived your peplum T shirt idea ... def going to do that!!
