One tip would to have chat GPT also create the text prompt for you. I have done this when I have created stories and it works quite well. Do it in the same window as your story so it has the knowledge to go back to and create the text prompt from. Love your videos. Always learn something new

Yes everything you put in is a text print. I was just referring to a prompt for mid journey for text to image. So once you finish writing the book in chat GPT at the end in the same window you can ask the chat to write a prompt to out in to mid journey to create the image. So an example would be “write a short promote to use in a text to image so tool to produce an image for this book.” You can be more specific based on your story or what you want the image to be. Not sure that makes it clear

I create short form romance novels with chatgpt and several other ai softwares, and chatgpt does a phenominal job of generating images of each scene any way you want.... and creating detailed location descriptions or images of locations in each part of your story as well! love it.

Honestly if your thinking about writing a children’s book story and are in need of art it would be best if you just find an illustrator that can truly bring ur vision to life. Using a machine is only gonna leave you open to copyright infringement and inconsistencies.

Don't listen to these folks about image copyrights, if you create something unique it is yours. And let me tell you, I am excited because I just finished the second draft of my first children's book which took me 1 hour to create in ChatGPT. I edited it and added to it and it's all mine. Now to create those graphics and make it magical!! You will be so happy you did it, just go for it! And I will tell you one last thing - I have been toying with this idea for 20 years. Don't be like me, start when the inspiration hits you. Once you stumble upon the right idea, your spirit will know it's the one. I want to encourage you because that's what love is all about. :)

@toddmurat2673 Since you tagged the wrong person, I guess I'll respond, but no one told her not to go for it and accomplish her dreams. Im just recommending the best way to go about it so that she doesn't run into legal issues. Theres already articles about books being eemived from platforms because they used ai. Using a machine to create an image is not her creating it the machine did unless she decides to alter it. As a children's book illustrator myself, I'm never going to discourage someone from doing something in this space. i just want them to do it safely like i recommend to all my authors.

Yes that is heartbreaking. One problem is that innocent users will have access to these but won't realize that they were someone else's original artworks. As an artist myself who has painted and sold my oil paintings, I personally would not use AI generated artwork just the way it pops up but would make changes to content, colors and elements. The inspiration from the original would remain but the finished product would be someone else's original. That probably doesn't help much but at this point there's not much remedy for overt plagiarism. I expect there will be court cases and new rules in the next year or so.

Copyright for AI-generated art is a bit ill-defined at the moment. You created the prompt. But the bot actually compiled the image. Art created with a free, trial account comes with a Commons Noncommercial 4.0 Attribution International License. Basically, you can use the images if you do not make money off of them, and you credit Midjourney.

While true, there are some things to consider. The ai may create non copyright material. But you can have it use your derivatives. Using midjourney however means you grant them the copyright over the work, and the derivatives inside it that you own may be used by them nor do they have any liability. But you could file for the copyright in another jurisdiction. Since most places are first come first serve. Selling the work would terminate the creative Commons license and your free account. Doing so does not re neg on any previous work they garnered before. But violating the license terms is not against any law. There does seem to be some legalese definitions that grant allowances to modify the work in the future, plus you may risk lawsuits if you sell it in midjourneys jurisdiction. That being said it sounds like a lot more fuss doing it this unethical way vs just paying for a membership to get a ability to commercially profit. But keep in mind you do grant use of your derivatives to midjourney. This could be enough to make some think twice. It probably isn't worth bringing derivatives you have made into midjourney. Thank you for your comment, it's not often people get deep into legalese when they engage in art activities. But as you have warned this is a bit different from the beginning. This is a quickly changing environment, where various parties have vast different feelings on this medium. The last group who did this received death threats. Stay safe everyone.

I've been work I g with Chat got since it came public. I also wanted children's book I spucufi ally typed in many of the same requirement ...I did this several times foediffernt boom ideas and it pretty much gave me the same type of story for all of them. Not much difference in the story lines. It's good for ideas ,but doesn't replace the human imagination.

Whether you edit the output from the AI is entirely up to you :) For me personally though, I would definitely edit and really just leverage any of the content generated from AI just as a starting point or for purposes of idea generation. This video was more to show what is possible using AI, but it is always good to add your personal touch to your stories. You can sell them on any platform you prefer, but Amazon KDP is the most common one that many people leverage.

GPT try to finish story directly in short with no twist turns .. coz its not human ..it can't put that emotions to the story 🙃 while the idea of making consistent character images with different backgrounds and putting that and other character actions in different images.. that's am working on, it is happening day by day getting ideas.. but not properly.. if this will done so I will make a comic book with my story 😊

And while it is void of the same understanding and emotions that would make a story good, if you know how to use it, you can get anything you want. You can add “childrens story book illustration style” as part of your prompt and that should do the trick :) you can also upload a reference image.

Exactly...most children's books that sell well have a consistent characters and the exactly same art style throughout, which is currently hard to do in Midjourney, although it's getting better.

You can definitely do all of the above. You can use a publisher to print for you, Amazon KDP is just an alternate option which doesn't require you to find a publisher. Midjourney will allow you to upload photos and turn them into cartoons and Chat GPT can definitely help with writing the content, although I highly recommend you just use it as a starting point only but still update the content with your own words so it is more unique and truly your own story :)

Any info on the legal use/license for comercial use of the images genereted with AI? I have tales and poems written by me, and for a personal use I have ilustrated them with AI images on InDesign, but can't really find any info on copyrights and license for using the images genereted, printed on books and selling them including the images. You are right. It's mindblowing. And offends my basic economic sense of how to make money. Why should people pay us for something that is so easy and which we contributed nothing or just the bare minimum. If it's so easy to 'write' and 'illustrate' a children's book, why can't anyone theoretically just 'generate' a million unique books by himself. heck, if he just make a single sale for each for a dollar he would 'theoretically' become a millionaire. And what if a million other people have the same idea and generate a million unique hooks EACH. we would have gazillion of these books out there in the market, each of them 'uniquely written' by AI. Who has the time even to read all these books? It's a bit like snowflakes. If everyone or everything is unique, then actually none of them are special. Let's not forget those actual authors who put their sweat and tears and years into actually writing a book instead of using AI. With the flood of AI generated books into the market by all of us, they will be swamped out of existence. Down the road, this will end human creative writing. Why should any person spend years of their lives toiling on a book which will eventually be drowned in a tsunami of AI generated books. Every aspiring writer will simply stop aspiring. We should use this video to start questioning the philosophy of 'work'.

Agree, I'm an illustrator and also an aspiring author. I've been working on my book series for 5 years so far, almost every single day. Its a very ambitious project and even with daily work, I predict it'll take another 5-7 years to complete the whole 5 book project + the illustrations I want to do for it. I do believe that no matter how good AI gets, the fact it has no unique human experiences of its own will always set it apart from the sweat blood and tears of a human artist. However, despite this it will inevitably flood the market, take away jobs in commercial writing/illustrating sectors, be at times very difficult to tell apart from the real thing and potentially degrade the talent, work, and skill of human creators in the eyes of their audience. You spent 10 years learning to do that? You take 20 hours to produce that painting? That's so slow, my computer can do it in 2 minutes, art is cheap! It's rather tragic. I'm personally just waiting for the day when it breaks in the news that the first AI movie has been generated, script, music, animation, voice acting, editing etc. all done by a machine. I'm sure most people with be in awe and celebrate this achievement when it inevitably comes.
