How to Create a Concept Map

using Concept Map because of two reasons: 1. for research or to find a solution to a problem; this is the discovery period, looking for answers to problems or difficulties. The concept map would look messy, because that's how our mind works, it gathers info, sorts them, connects them till it finds the unifying concept which organizes the rest. 2. After discovering the solution or answer, and organizing the concepts logically then one proceeds to the next level of concept Map, that is, to present it neatly. The video is on the second state, for presentation purpose of the Concept map.

You’ve described a mind map, not a concept map. A concept map involves far more logical rigour. A mind map is freer and easier to work with. Mind maps are also applicable to far more domains than concept maps. Concept maps are meant to describe complex systems, particularly the entities and the relationships in such systems. They can also aid in describing inputs and outputs. This confusion between mind maps and concept maps is nothing new. One is not better than the other however the distinction means that one may be more appropriate than the other in certain contexts.
