Aaron Barcheck was working way too much and wanted an event to look forward to that would get him fit. So he created one.
Mosaic Cycles Flagstaff Week started in Boulder, Colorado about 10 years ago with Aaron and his wife Liz, now an assistant principal at a local high school, who often helps drive Mosaic initiatives.
As the name suggests, this free event takes riders up the 2,000ft Flagstaff climb in Boulder Monday through Friday for a week in early June. It starts and finishes at a local cycling-friendly coffee shop early in the morning, and the week concludes with pastries and fun awards.
