@@SharonSmith Believe me you are easy to watch haha . . . Anyway, I want to create a form on a google doc that each person I send it to can optin to fill it out and submit the form and email it to me to notify me Do you cover this? Is it possible? I tried doing it with this video but it didn't cover it . . . Thanks Marshall Van Fleet
Hello - the intro to the video gives an overview of the final form elements we will build from scratch. You can jump to timestamp 01:03 in this video to see how to get started from a blank document. You can find all timestamps for this lesson in the expanded video description so you can jump to the areas you are interested in. Good luck with your form!
Do the form fields and their functionality work in MS Word if i were to export the Google doc as a .docx file? (I can't test myself as I don't have Microsoft Office)
This is Great, I learned alot!! I do have a question, how can we create a conditional value, so for example if applicant chose the Region to be East, then only eastern states would populate in the next drop down value, so that we don't get a submission where they have chosen Eastern Region and California as the state. Thank you!
it is not allowing me to select multiple segments of the table while holding control. Do you know if this is something that could be fixed? Thank you for all your help
This video on creating fillable forms in Google Docs was SOOO helpful!! Thank you Sharon!! Very well-explained, good pace, super clear and again... very helpful!
Thank you! I'm so glad you found my video helpful and easy to follow. Thanks for taking time to leave a nice comment and for watching my videos. Best of luck!
Thanks for this! its very helpful. Is there a way to add more elements such as a grading scale or fill in a 1-5 star system similar to what Jotform or Google forms has?
Thank you for this tutorial. My question is once Im done making my form, how do I save this and in what format, in order for my clients to complete this form. I emailed it to myself and it didnt work to complete it. The drop downs didnt work or the check marks didnt appear.
Hello - if you create this in Google Docs, it will save as a .gdoc and the functionality may not work if you open the document in Word or another application. This is best if your users will also be opening in Google Docs. However, if your users use Word, it is best to build the form in Word, or as an online form (either Google Forms or Microsoft Forms). Here is my playlist on creating fillable forms in different applications. Hope this helps!: ru-vid.com/group/PLb80efKTbWuOe1LfFMNExEabkRkB5ehcv Thanks for watching and best of luck!
Correct - the Title and Thumbnail for this video is how to create fillable forms in Google Docs. If you are looking to create a form in Google Forms, here is a different tutorial: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VBFOOC8enVI.html Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
