10 Simple Steps to create a FineArt Photographic Album. How to create in few steps a professional FineArt Album. The making of "Dunes: Unveiled Beauties". The FineArt Catalogue by NikBarte.
5:17 mark on the video was enough for me to strike the idea out, it just does not open flat, or close to flat for that matter, you had to hold the page so it does not break or creases over and that took the joy from seeing the photo on the other side of it, it is too tight of a binding that this great presentation cover and brilliant paper are not given justice, I really wish they come up with lay flat solution and I will buy it at double the price...!!!
Lovely images and video as well! Do the instructions that come with the album include info about the backing paper you feed thru the printer at the same time and more importantly, how much (mm/inches) do you decenter the print away from the holes to center the print on the "seen" page. Is that info in the boxed instructions as well?
Hi Howard. In this album you can use different kind of fineart papers by Hahnemuehle. Every kind of FineArt paper has its ICC profile and characteristics. These profiles can be downloaded from the website of the paper manufacturer. About the distance from the holes to your image, this depends on the format and size of your image that you need to print. You can print also over the holes.... if you like. I suggest to introduce in your printer (A3+) or Plotter one or two sheets of traditional paper, cutted in the same format of the paper ordered, so to verify exactly the result that you want to obtain. You don't need to print all the image and moreover with high quality of print. This initial test is useful in many cases. For further technical questions you can contact directly the technical department of Hahnemuehle. www.hahnemuehle.com See digital fineart.
These are the kind of FineArt papers you can order with the leather album. www.hahnemuehle.com/en/digital-fineart/protect-authenticate/inkjet-photo-albums/p/Product/show/34/138.html
"Contents Paper There are now 4 different 100% cotton papers from the Photo Rag® Family to select from: For double-sided printing: Photo Rag® Book & Album 220 gsm and Photo Rag® Duo 276 gsm with a matt and smooth surface.

cylurian A spray to protects digital Fine Art prints from external influences. "It fixes colours of pigment-and dye ink and prevents an eventual colour fading also the intensity and the high brilliance of the colours stay permanently. The coating increases the abrasion resistance of Fine Art papers, so the risk of fingerprint marks and scratches are reduced." See more information visiting this page. www.hahnemuehle.com/en/digital-fineart/hahnemuehle-protective-spray.html
Suitable for smooth papers like Photo Rag, Ultra Smooth, .... NOT for Baryta. Suitable for smooth papers. Protects the inks, in special way the dark series, against the signs of fingers and small scratching. Useful in case of exposition without glass and for showing you works. People love to touch everything but some materials are so delicate. Some hands have a lot of humidity and grease on fingers to leave these on inks and paper too. Spray is suggested also for albums and archival.
