Thanks for the video. You should check out and do a tutorial on Google Earth Studio. Much smoother flybys and better control of the camera angle, path, everything. The only clunky part ois that it is web-based, so can be slow, and you need to bring your KML files over and add them as overlays. Good luck.
Not a mountain biker, but trying to put together a Google Earth tour representing a relative's ultimately one way journey to Vietnam in 1968. Thanks for laying out the basics. Learned a lot from the video. Thanks OG.
Love the Sierra Buttes, upper sardine is a fav for us! Guessing by the 89 hat you live close as well? I love exploring in the lost sierras on my DR650, this video was a huge help to teach me how to use Google Earth for more advanced route recce. Thanks man.
Thank you for this tutorial. It now makes sense. A little quirky in places but not complaining. The Mac version is a little different in places for example ‘Get Info’ - ‘Properties’.
Well that was interesting: I was looking for a tutorial on how to do Google Earth flybys and lo and behold I see the hill we used to play on as kids - Beacon. Grew up a couple miles from there.
That a very helpful video. Thanks for doing that, I have been meaning to put something like that in my videos for a while. BTW, I have also ridden the Downieville Classic and Whole Enchilada trails. Very cool!
quiet interesting mate, thx for the info...I am a sailor and i am on circumnavigation, havent played around with GE but will do...hey, question how do u add pics to the route? cheers and thx
I lay it all out just how I want it. Then I watch it a few times. Then I record my computer screen in my video editing software. From there you could save it and send it.
