Make a video about effects loops and setting the levels properly and where in the chain it should go! Btw great video! Thanks for sharing this freely with everyone.
Jason, I’m your biggest fan!! This is such a great video and it really explains a lot of stuff for us. Thank you. I love my QC!! It’s the new Helix! lol..
Thanks Jason. I’m new to QC and was recommended to you my a fellow QC user and the template is going to be super helpful as a jump off point. Great and clear presentation style and now about to watch your other vids. Thanks again from the UK.
9:03 - this also demonstrates how the comp at the end helps bring out the "rolled off" volume (at the guitar) without the big drop off in the overall mix.
I got a QC a few days before a gig and didn’t have much time to learn how to use it but this preset helped carry me through the whole gig! I barely tweaked with any of the settings but got tons of compliments on my tone. Thanks for making such a helpful vid!
Hi Jason, thanks for another great video! I'd love to get your take on handling presets with more complex routing. For example, I use my QC alongside a Powerstage 200 on a pedalboard to feed my 2x12, but I also run XLR outs with a cab block to front of house for monitors/PA mix. I'm curious to see how you might handle something like that! (I'm also interested in how you might gain-stage within such a preset to avoid clipping the power amp while keeping as loud/clear a signal as possible for FOH.) Hopefully this is something you'd be interested in exploring. 😁
Can you make a video about the I/O menu and using the QC with external effects. I’ve been trying to integrate my pedal board into my QC presets but I’ve noticed that I loose signal when the signal comes back in from the board. I’ve been trying to make my presets as loud as I can with out clipping but If I do that I have no headroom to do anything like boosting with any of my physical pedals.
I have a question, How can i raise the output without have it clipping? For example, my Helix and my Fractal FM3 i have my overall volume at 12 clock wise and that tje way i use it Live but for some reason my Quad to compensate the same volume i have to raise it almost 80%, can you help me with that
Sorry bro to hijack this video with a tonex question, yuo said we should put the input trim at 0. Is it the same for humbuckers and single coils? Great videos, keep them coming
No worries at all! I never change my input trim when changing guitars. My Tonex captures are designed to sound exactly as I captured them with Tonex Pedal input trim is set to -3.0 dB or on Tonex software with your recording interface instrument input set to 11 dBu of headroom. Hope that helps :-)
I know this is not about the ToneX but I've noticed that tons of people have requested a tuner for the ToneX pedal. I may be extremely late to discovering this but if you hold down the "C" stomp switch you see that it has a very effective tuner built in.
