Another gem and love the idea of an effects 'battle' with Jamie at Film Empire. Yes to the offer of a Darth Vader voice tutorial in Hitfilm (although I do like Audacity). Just out of curiosity... Have you ever considered a 'critique' service for your subscribers on effects they have made? I see a number of artists offer something similar with suggested improvements. As much as I love Hitfilm the variables and options for each effect are sometimes overwhelming.

Thank you. Jamie at Film Empire is a pretty awesome young man, that is for sure. I would be delighted to go over the Darth Vader voice effect. It is actually surprisingly easy to do! I will put it on my list. I see the effects that everyone makes. Anyone who wants to send them to me, I will definitely look at them and offer suggestions! Regarding Hitfilm, I agree with you. There are lots and lots of very powerful options and effects, and that can be quite overwhelming for sure.

I started off in the Pro Version, but this effect has been done in the Express Version!

You mentioned a hologram effect is built into HitFilm Pro. Could you elaborate on how to find/use it? I have Pro, but can't see it.

It is not a single effect, but instead a preset of five different effects working together. The five effects are Chroma Key, Hue Colorize, Flicker, TV Damage, and Glow. Two of the effects are Add-on purchases... Chroma Key and TV Damage. You can find the Hologram Preset in the Effects Panel under Presets -> 2D Effects -> Hologram [Layer Only], or you can simply search for Hologram.

under transform at 4:36 position is activated as shown by its blue color but its not for me. Did I go wrong somewhere? *EDIT*I figured it out. So I forgot to A) shorten the point to where it met up with the cuts I made and B) forgot to click apply after the tracking so I'm kinda mad at myself XD*EDIT*

So you see I had everything setup. the light flare and blur for the hologram as said on the video. Then comes the step where you masked the hologram. After pointing the triangle shaped mask, nothing happens.

@@amverymoldy Make sure that you have the right Composite Shot selected while drawing the Mask. I can't tell you how many times I have put the mask on the wrong layer and then couldn't figure out why it wasn't working.

@@HitfilmSensei Hello I'm back. I'm still having trouble on the mask part. It works on other layers but on the layer of the hologram effect, it doesn't. Im working on a technological project which I would really love to add the hologram effect on your vid.

@@amverymoldy I am not sure why you are having troubles. You might want to contact FXhome support about it. You will need to provide information on your computer specs, the media information, and which version of HitFilm you are using. Here is the FXhome support page... fxhome.com/support. Good luck!

The dislikes are all from Hitfilm. And would the greenscreen effect work with a white wall if insterted the HUE and RGB Key? Havent tried it yet.

In theory, you can use any color for your key. Green is usually used because it is the easiest to remove. If you are keying out Darth Vader, an all black character, a white wall would most likely work. Good luck!

Good tutorial, thank you. Only comment here is on your basic green screen effect. The lighting you chose is far too harsh and direct for the background you've chosen. The actual tutorial was great though.

I'm not spending 400 bucks on the Pro version until I MASTER Express. If you can do a lot with a little, how much can you do with a lot? I respect your decision to buy Pro, but I really think you should do a little more practice with the free version.
