It’s so refreshing to hear a group of men speak positively about marriage. One more reason I think you guys are the best make time models for the younger generations out there
If you're not watching mindpump, what are you really watching? These guys cover pretty much everything several times a week. Love this gotdang show 🤜🏻🤛🏻💪🏻
Idk about that. Lots of their topics and discussions are repetitive. Also, they keep talking over each other, cut each other off, and get off topics that you wanna hear more about to talk about their personal lives.
@@Rihla_a-zhaha its true. They are still very knowledgable in their space and share the proper science, philosophy and experience. Props to the team but id rather NOT praise them... the comments section is a circle jerk
Yes! I agree so much! Social media is the worst way to consume content, it's a total waste of time! You, guys, are awesome! Thanks for an hour well spent!
I LOVED this! so true, "where are all the instagram bodies?!" time to live in real bodies and make good and better choices and habits and not try to be a picture or filter on instagram, thank you for all the encouragement here!!!
After listening to question number three king in on her age 55, not being able to lose fat being extremely tired I think you need to do a show on perimenopause and the changes that when we go through, I’m a personal trainer been doing it for 28 years I’m 55 years old. I’m fit, but I’m extremely exhausted, and I have fat that is appeared in places I never have before. It takes a lot more work and patience and lifestyle changes in order for my body to respond changes when you hit perimenopause and a podcast to educate personal trainers about this would be absolutely amazing. You guys happen to so many different areas and so many different types of people. This is one of the missing parts that I think would really benefit your audience. Going through perimenopause as I am right now it’s no joke. Everything must shift the style of training must shift the way we eat my shift supplementation there is so much. Stacey Sims is a great person to reach out to Dr. Mary. Claire Haver is another one. It would benefit you a bunch of trainers and especially women as we go through this if you did a podcast on this to start educating people. ❤️❤️❤️
I am SO APPRECIATIVE OF YOU ALL! All of the information on nutrition, workouts and beyond with mental health, gut health and the like have been spot on!! I have tried so many things you all suggest and they all have benefits for me. The John Daloney quote has been HUGE for our family. We use this almost every day and it has made a big difference in our Lives! Thank you Mind pump Men and John!
My husband and I really enjoy the content you all share and we are thankful for your expertise and entertainment. My husband is your age and I’m a first time mommy. I’m excited to sign up for your muscle mommy program once I can get back in the gym.
I listen to every podcast that comes out! When I’m driving with my 6 year old daughter, she asks, “Mama, why are we listening to these guys again?”. My response: “Because these guys teach us how to be healthy!” 💪 Keep ‘em coming, MP!
so glad i found you guys been fasting and burning out for years now following your advice and sals book going back to beginner basics playing the long game cant afford your program yet but hopefully soon thankyou
Great episode. You guys are great leaders, and the information you share is so impactful if people would just LISTEN! Listening consistently for nearly 1 year! Learned so much! Thanks! 😊
I've been wearing Xero's for a few years now! Great shoes. I have boots for winter, dress shoes and then a couple pair just for the gym, garden and finally a pair that just stays in my home gym. 😜😁
As a Registered Dietitian, you guys are so on point with nutrition for vitality and optimal health. I especially appreciate the GLP-1 info you share with importance of protein and strength training on these meds!
Yass! Your coaching advice to caller 3 is the crux of what MP has done for me. You all convinced me (eventually 🙄) to get over the weight-obsessed, 2-dimensial belief system, and then everything clicked. Mind over matter is for real. Not trusting the process or myself was stressing me out and probably jacking up my cortisol and belly fat. Thank you ❤!
Konnichiwa from Japan. Love the content, especially the way you respond to listeners question. It really shows how much you care. Just got MAPS Starter for my 60th birthday and am loving it.
Just found out about your guys a couple months ago and you’ve been so helpful in getting me started correctly! I’ve watched over 100 episodes and can’t wait to run some of your programs! Thanks for all you do!
I am currently in week of maps aesthetic. Thank you so much team! Its really helped me navigate my way through the mind f##ck that is excercise training!
Just finishing up Anabolic 💪 eating more, working out hard but less, focusing on sleep and quality protein, watching Mind Pump daily. Life is good. Thank you 🙏🏼
I've worked in Full Mouth Reconstruction practices for the past 25yrs. You're describing severe Bruxism. Try botox therapy in your massetter muscles 30 units each side, botox in the temporalis muscles. Your massetters will atrophy and this will relax your bite. Try it and get a hard night guard. They also make dual arch guards that prompt you to open when you clench. If you need a crown get a bruxir crown made out of zirconia. Very durable restoration. Most patients find relief with modalities mentioned above.
If you wanna PUMP your body and expend your MIND, there's only one place to go: MIND PUMP....I Love your podcasts guys. You all rock. I want this bundle soo bad.
I don't have much time for social media, I find it boring, seeing perfect people and how they breeze through life, it can definitely screw you up. I do go on social media on occasion, some pages I really enjoy but still don't stay on for a lot of time or often. At least I have got that part right 😊 Sleep is still an issue but working on it.
Love y'all guys, I send y'all in texts to whoever I can I work in the high school athletic department so I I'm constantly talking about y'all to the coaches I work around. Plus to my teen girls and their friends ❤️💪.... Keep rocking!
Interesting convo about quality of life for married men! If we choose our partner intentionally, our partnership becomes greater than the sum of its parts. We are better together and capable of waaaaay more than just adding up what we each accomplish as individuals. ❤
The biggest thing that comes to mine when i got married in terms of income is stability. I worked on getting myself into a job/career that i can do get good and continue to do for the long term. Even if you find stability at McDonalds you will start making more money then continually hopping for wntry level job to entry level job!
LOVE Xero Shoes! I am a 5.5 stroke warrior working hard to retrain my affected side to be “normal”. My best training is barefoot so when I must wear shoes I grab one of my six (😂) pair!!!!
I really love your podcast. I've learned and understand health & fitness because of you guys. I've improved my health holistically. Thank you for sharing your expertise. Keep it up!
@calculooze Winner! Please email: ann@mindpumpmedia.com with a screenshot of your youtube username, winning episode number, and the email address you would like the program under and we will get you hooked up!
Hi! I signed up for coaching training because with you guys I want to grow up in the New Community of old school Trainers. I am 57 years young trainer. 30 years in the industry from high impact Low impact Step up! Lesmill This Lady is Hormonal issues Believe me. She is going to be tire daily if she is no take care her Hormones. All my clients are from 35 to 67 years and they know what to do. If she get stressed She will never lose body fat, we know that. Be a different kind of trainer, Don’t give up on her, most likely others trainers did. My opinion Male trainers should learn about Women Hormones and educate them. Believe me women think they can be stronger without hormones. Thank you! Mind Pump.
I love the variety of the topics! Now, I just need help figuring out which program to begin with; there's too many to choose from. I'm an over 40 female who is no stranger to the gym and working out, but I have allowed myself to get completely out of shape. I currently lack the discipline to put myself on a program and trust the process. I need help🤦🏾♀️
I love how you guys talk a lot about sleep. One thing Sal said in this episode about sleep deprivation and psychosis is so true. There is a reason sleep deprivation has been used in the past as torture. I can attest that after my son was born and I was still in the hospital I felt out of my body from sleep deprivation. My son lost 12% of his birth weight by day 3 meaning I had to do round the clock 3 hourly feeds, bottle top ups and pumping to get him to gain weight. I got max 60minutes of sleep before my alarm went off to start the cycle again. Being massively sleep deprived is like this animalistic part of your brain takes over. So bizarre.
Insightful convo on married men vs single men stats…young women have been pulled away from marriage/kids over decades-the pill, working outside the home, daycare, careers
@JustinAndrews: I have had a very similar experience with teeth grinding and clenching leading to broken tooth after broken tooth (not too mention the jaw pain!), and literally breaking the ugliest, most heavy-duty bite guards the dentist could give me. Just discovered masseter botox and it has improved the clenching SO much. My dentist said I had the strongest masseter muscles he had ever seen. I hope you give this a try! Super quick procedure and I was blown away by how effective it is. Love this podcast!! Thank you for bringing amazing content every week!
@@justinandrews6447yes, the Botox (or Xeomin) works to essentially weaken those muscles so you’re not exerting so much force and therefore destroying your teeth 😅 lasts ~3 months and you can go longer between injection treatments the more you get it. Was so, so worth it. I really feel your pain with this issue.
Married men also make more money because *often their wives are doing a large majority of the household management.* Married men have a woman at home who takes care of the kids, does household labor, and manages finances/the family calendar. And yes, this is also true of households where *men and women both are working full-time.* On average, married women's lives get worse and they report lower levels of life satisfaction and happiness compared to married men or single women.
One thought to the population shrinkage topic. I don't think the media was/particularly to have said about "too many people on the planet." I think the issue of a decreasing population comes from the fact we built infrastructures sustainable by a certain population size. Once upon a time, there were a lot less people in the world, so small populations wouldn't be the problem. The world we have built is made for a big population. We eat more. We use more. And that more needs more production therefore more people to make it sustainable. At least, that's the thought running in my mind.
How can you distinguish between cause and effect? How do you know whether marriage is the cause of the improvement in metrics, or the better metrics is what leads to marriage?
Hello guys, thank you so much💪🏻🙏 you made it to one of the tiniest european countries; Luxembourg 😅🇱🇺 « Nomen est omen », you truly are loyal to your name, you do pump my mind. Listening to you is the best priming for a great workout 😍💪🏻 One of my 3 kids had cancer twice, he is in remission now, but my marriage broke down and i had a depression as an aftermath… Your show helped a lot more than any existentialism ever could . It’s just so gratifying to grow muscles Anyway, big thank you 🙏
Just one more thing that might be of interest to Justin, I had the same teeth grinding issues when my son was ill. The only thing that helped, was botox in my masseters! Truly helpful. Allowed my jaw to relax and break the vicious cycle. And some osteopathy sessions. Take care, Véro
Its interesting that they didn't mention that one of the reasons married men do better financially is because women are extremely helpful. A good wife will make your life better, so you can be better.
Dang, I’ve been averaging 5 to 6 hours sleep a night for about a decade…..over the last year or two, 90% the exact same sleep and wake times though….🤷🏼♂️
I would grind my teeth in my sleep and snore. I would go through mouth guards like Justin. The teeth grind was my body trying to wake myself up from not breathing. I use a CPAP now and don’t grind my teeth or snore.
If you want to see the northern light better you should come to northern Sweden, we can see them really good up here. Or at least go far up north in the states
1:25:44 is there currently a way to find trainers that are in your trainer forum? I know it’s kindof a new thing, but as a busy mom in a bit of a rut at 37 I am very interested in hiring a trainer, and I feel like I’d really have a hard time trusting someone who wasn’t at least as Mind Pump loyal as myself as a non-trainer 😂
I’ve been using hydrogen tablets that dissolve in water and you drink - apparently it’s huge in Japan. ( where all the research comes from, they use it onto offset drinking 🥂😂) I use it as pre workout and seem to have an unlimited amount of endurance when I take it. It’s been easy to overtrain on it as I never fatigue ( could unlimited sets) from what I understand it may be multi factorial in its benefits. Hydrogen atoms are so small they have an all access pass to your cells and mitochondria - they can pass through cell membranes and donate an electron anywhere that it is needed. So I thinking I must get some mitochondrial energy benefits as well as some antioxidant benefit. I definitely notice when. I don’t take it. Ive been using quicksilver tablets.
I’m female but I also make more money now that I’m married. My pay rate hasn’t changed but I spend way more time at work and not for the reasons mentioned. First - My husband makes more than I do so I take on extra shifts because I want to contribute as much as possible. The main reason though is because I don’t want to be at home, lol. I’m going to bet I’m not alone in that. I’m sure many married men spend more time at work to avoid their wives. When I was single I worked a lot less because I had a life and enjoyed my time off. Now I hide at work. 😂
That last guys sounds like he just might not be eating enough. I’m a woman eating 2,700 cal a day and what he said he eats sounds like way less than what I eat💪🏻
I’ve bought the anabolic maps - I have a bar at home that belongs to my husband, and can buy dumbbells but I haven’t yet transitioned from guided classes (hiit / strength) to do this alone. Would love to hear from any woman / mum who transitioned from classes to a maps / own schedule workouts.
All in a course library online to access modules for exercise/coaching videos. There's also a pdf for quick references of the workout routine for the day/week.
Married men live longer because us wives make them go to the doctor & the dentist. My husband got bit by a brown recluse spider and refused to go to the doctor until he had pain waking him up at night and blackening skin around the bite. 🤷🏻♀️
