This IS awesome!!! I'm on to my 5th wedding shoot now and this toll (and your help) are going to save me a TON of work and time!!!!!!!!!! Thank you! thank!! you thank you!!!
Hi, I just wanted to say thank you for making such a clear and concise tutorial about using the batch edit function in Photoshop. This is something that always causes me great trouble and frustration whenever I try to do it, but this tutorial has really helped. I'll definitely be watching more of your videos in the future. Again, thank you.
Thank you for this tutorial. Q. Can you create a action with a few effects? Like watermarking, borders/frame, re-sizing for web, save for Print and save for back-up all in one action ?
I want to make one action with 10 image layers. While recording it is taking the names of those layers. Is it possible to make an action independent of layer names?
I use camera raw filter on my pictures and i want to batch them using camera raw filter but every time i go to batch them it stops when it does the camera raw filter and wants me to click ok and then asks me where to save it when it gets to the saving part but i set it up to save to a certain folder but it stills asks me, what am i doing wrong?
Hey Aaron! Awesome tutorial. I have a question; PS or LR works best for batch editing? By best I mean in terms of flexibility, options, capability, performance, etc. Or is it merely a preference? I know this is an old video, but I just found it. Hopefully you can still reply. Either way, I enjoy your videos and will be looking for more.
Thank you! Q: When we select the Source folder, those are obviously the pictures affected, but selecting a Destination folder means we get a copy of those now edited photos again. What was the point of selecting a destination folder if we don't get a say in the source images' fate? (That's probably a question for Adobe...)
Thanks for making my life easier! I have just literally tried watching and figuring this out but you explained so easy! I have been shooting for 7 years professionally and I just started to use photoshop last year (I know insane) But weddings have been 1-2 a weekend for months and I know reception photos should all be relatively the same. JEEZ my life has been handed back!
Hey, Aaron, I'm trying to do this with a time lapse series of around 1,200 images. Six frames in a piece of dust dropped onto the sensor. I tried this method but with both spot healing and source cloning the action won't record those tasks. All the images are the exact same size so the spot is in a consistent location throughout. Is there a way to record an action that will remove the dust spot from all of the images? I'm on CS6, still. Thank you!
Hi, I need to tell PS for each new file, (through the action) to save it in jpeg in the source folder adding the ending "_mod". The action I created saves any new image in the chosen folder during the recording of the action; the same for the file name, instead of adding the termination it saves every new image with the name chosen during the recording of the action.
I'm trying to make a batch action for framing. I understand how to make and apply the batch edit however if i am trying to batch frame edits with photographs that are different dimensions wont the frame turn out a little funky on some of the files?
i have a base image of a TV and want thousands of different images centered in the TV via cropping. Can this be done with batch actions? For instance, the base image (The image of the TV) stays the same, I just need all of the other images to layer over the base image, crop and center them into the frame of the TV, and save each of these files as its own completed image. So, one image will be the TV with a cow in the center, the next a pig, the next a tractor, the next a house etc on and on. Can you use the batch action option to do this somehow? Thanks for any help
I cant get my batching to work for love nor money, it looks like photoshop goes through all the motions but when I check my destination folder there is nothing there. Please help I used to be able to do this years ago, I haven't done it in ages. I'm trying to batch process a load of pictures to include my logo and add filter so I can add text to them later.
I actually run into an issue you didn't cover... My batch process is fine but is there a way to also rename all the images in the process... so for example DSC00132 > Wedding_B&W_001.jpg I've tried to use the available setting to change the name but for some reason i'm making a mistake and i don't get a rename. Any tutorials on this by any chance PHLEARN
Great video! I was going to buy a program a you tuber was selling called action fire that saves all your actions but I can actually just save it in photo shop? So pretty much that You tuber is scamming people right? I'm glad I came across your video and similar videos
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Having a HUGE problem trying to convert multiple images to 300dpi. Have done as per the video. Have created a new action list by......... Open image Change image size from 72dpi to 300dpi Saved new conversion to a different folder so as to keep original as is. Went to batch process. Chose file to change. Chose file to save to. Problem is, all the subsequent actions are saving as the original photo that I used to set up the action? Why is this happening? GETTING VERY FRUSTRATED
