How do i do this with groups? I tried this way and it worked fine, but my pie chart is too granular. I have many small categories that I would like to group as other, but when doing this with groups the categories aren't filtered by color at 2:30.
This is Great stuff Andy, i was just wondering if we can create a sequential flow of hierarchy From Level 1 to Level 3. Won't that be a great use case with an optimal use of real estate ?
Great stuff. I am creating a calculated field same as u have shown. However unable to create a calculated field for the drill down. The error message says "Expected type string, found boolean. Result type from 'IF'expressions must match" Can u help me out here..??
that is strange, am getting the error 'expected type BOOLEAN, found integer' which is strange because I thought the IF function worked for all of these types
Is there a way to dynamically only show the legends for category and subcategory(only when someone clicks the pie) instead of repeating legends? @Andy Kriebel
@@vizwiz Hi Andy, I believe the issue I had was Move marks to front/back. Just went through the video step by step again and was able to resolve. Thanks for uploading! Interesting look on a pie chart.
@@andrewchumchal7976 You have to move the marks front to back. I no longer work at that company I was doing it for, so no access to that file. But I believe that was the trick. Right click and you should see an option to go front to back.

hi Andy, hope you check comments under your perfect video. I tried to replicate you did and I have one question. When I put the result dashboard to the Story, its hide the subcategories names and replaces them by asterisk * even they were present and work fine at the dashboard. Do you know why? how to fix of this? Thanks
