Update as of 9/8: Every conference is complete except for the Sun Belt! The color coded teams in the Sun Belt though are complete. I have only 8 teams left to complete! I’ll be working on that later today!
any sports game out there in the world you can create and edit players. The fact you can't do this in the game is criminal thanks for showing us a work around. Also wtf can't we change any jersey numbers to me is insane
Yeah it’s weird the limitations they set on computer generated players. Like I understand the opted in ones but come on I change random player’s number. It’s so weird!
It’s either you don’t have a new college football game or you play with some limitations we have known this for a while now. In the end this was the reason we lost the game in the first place.
This game is fun overall, but making create a player so difficult shows that EA never understood why the game stayed popular for over 10 years. Having the real players is great, but most of us play this game for dynasty mode. After 4 seasons the real players are all gone anyways. So not letting us create and edit players easily makes no sense. They also omitted create a prospect which I always loved. It was a fun way to 'cheat' in dynasty by creating and then recruiting a superstar player. But it came with some risk. If you weren't able to successfully recruit the player you might end up playing against a superstar QB on your rival for 4 years. Added to the fun.
I know. It’s like they focused more on the gameplay in games that they neglected or added certain features as an afterthought making the game feel really incomplete.
@@Azkhalon Exactly. Just seems baffling that they couldn't match the features of a 10 year old game with consoles that are 2 generations more powerful. But I guess that's nothing new. Still baffles me that we have to go to a website for teambuilder, when 20 years ago you could create a team right within the game.
Hit the nail on the head. The first thing I looked for was trying to create a player. I agree that most people are looking to play dynasty with the ability to add created players. If there was an issue with nil they could have it where you couldn’t use certain names on players etc.
@@jasonl7937 Maybe we will get more next year. I think EA was just being overly cautious about lawsuits. You are right though, they could limit certain names or numbers. Still not sure it should matter. Charles Barkley refuses to let them put him in NBA 2K, but they have create a player and he could be created and entered into the game. So what's the big deal? In WWE games they have an extensive create a wrestler and people can easily create wrestlers from rival wrestling companies.
Man I just love how u took the time out to let us know what players we can edit at the end……really a time saver, it’s not a lot but these few is better than nothing, I subscribed now and gave this a thumbs up. It’s a shame EA is putting us through this, they could’ve at least gave us the option to create a player only for offline, but nooooooo…..I kinda want my 70 bucks back, shi really worth 40$, shit is just like madden but faster, more schools and better graphics…….really a let down and I’ve been bragging about this game hard before it even came out
No problem! I’ll be working on some more today. Yeah I don’t understand why we can’t create players when we can create one for RTG. I also don’t understand why EA couldn’t give us full editing control over non opted it players that were computer generated. Makes no sense.
Love this video and thanks for all the work compiling the non-NIL player rosters. One weird glitch I found (as trying to make a full custom roster with 30 players so using the Air Force team that has the most at 31 non-NIL): you only get one shot at editing players attributes. Example: if you edit a non-NIL QB to be a WR but forget to improve speed, you will be unable to go back and increase speed. The game makes it look like you can still edit attribute stats, but you can't. You can still change their names, but no attributes. Good luck to all trying similar things!

To me it’s EA laughing at us. Why did they grey out ratings and attributes under EDIT PLAYER SELECTION?!! I completely understand why we cannot edit appearances and names of opted in NIL players. Da fuq does changing jersey numbers and ratings have to do with anything? And they need to allow us to EDIT EVERYTHING for the “fake filler” players. I am playing a Dynasty and many of my players jersey numbers have changed out of nowhere for no reason. EA give us more editing options!!!!
@@Azkhalonfrom my understanding it would actually be a legal issue for opted in players because they made deals with the individual players and not a player’s association so their number is actually apart of their likeness.
It really stinks that there’s no way to create someone outside of RTG….hopefully that’ll be rectified by the next installment. That’s a huge undertaking for you to document all that for every team!
Yeah it does stink. I don’t understand it at all. Like I understand the players that opted in, but we should have complete control over the rest of the players. And if I can create someone in RTG, why can’t I create someone elsewhere? It doesn’t make sense. I’m working on a future video where I talk about my wishlist of things for the next game. This is definitely on my list!
One of the Worst things to me In Dynasty Recruiting is their is no realism with these Recruits. I’ve seen way more White DBs then black ones and Especially at the CornerBack Position. I’m sorry but I want my game to look like College Football Saturday and after the 4 years are over and the “Generated Recruits come in it looks terrible. In NCAA 14 I was able to change the Color of The DBs. I don’t mind seeing White WRs because we have that in real life but their is way Tooooooo many White DBs especially Cornerbacks in the top 150 of the recruiting cycle.

Update as of 7/31/24: Big Ten and SEC are both complete on the spreadsheet. I’m a teacher, and we reported back to school last Thursday. The first day of school for the students is tomorrow. Please give me some grace over the next couple of days as I adjust to being back in school. I have some new videos in the works, and my goal is still to finish this entire spreadsheet by the end of the weekend. 😎

Update as of the morning of 8/3/24: Big Ten, Independent, PAC-12, and SEC conferences are completely done! I will be working this weekend to finish the other conferences as my goal was to have every team complete by the end of the weekend. Again, thank you so much to those of you reaching out to help! I appreciate it, but I don’t want to share the spreadsheet with anyone for editing purposes. No offense, but I don’t want too many hands in the pot in case something gets messed up on the sheet. If you really want to help, I wouldn’t be opposed to you double checking the teams I have completed to make sure I didn’t miss anyone or make any other mistakes. 😎
@@quintonmister1798 yes, it's all editable players for those teams are on the spreadsheet linked in the video's description. I also have some teams from other conferences done as well.
Thanks for this but its just a glitch that you found as opposed a full customization option. Most players opted in so its a limited case by case basis. And not in dynasty with even the fake players....EA on that b.s.....i still got this 4* QB recruit whose last name is "Mama" that wears #79. EA needs to fix this miss
Yeah, the names that are generated are crazy! I don’t understand why we can’t have more control over the randomly generated players. I get the NIL opted in ones but come on EA. Why can we completely edit any generated players? Makes no sense!
In dynasty you can edit ALL recruits AFTER they actually enroll into school and appear on your roster OR another teams roster, example: Dave Becruttin as a recruit will be named that and I cannot edit it. Once I recruit him and advance to the next season, I can change his name to Cam Newton.
Thank you for being one of the only to talk about this feature missing in the game, it look like all the other content creator who has been know for made dynasty mode on ncaa 14 don't say a word about this, maybe they worry about getting trouble with ea ...
That’s probably it. A lot of the bigger RU-vidrs are under contracts with EA. What sucks with a lot of those contracts is that they usually can’t be critical of the game.
The only thing that sucks about this is that these fake players are locked at normal development trait. No matter what kind of crazy stats you put up with them, how many stat records you shatter, etc you will never be able to get them all the flashy superstar abilities. I've done tried it already.
Ur best bet is to create a team and use that roster that way u can edit all they’re stats appearance class etc ik it’s not ideal but they get development traits and what not
Being able to edit non nil players and now with the update being about to edit players you recruit this game should be picking up speed with your new spread sheet to start off before recruiting picks up will do wonders!
I wonder does EA know how terrible this makes the game that you have to spend hours trying to find a character that resembles you, has a number that fits the position you want, is on a team you want to play for, and a simple issue but still an issue, is from a city close to yours? Like this is just flat out terrible on their part. And theres no explanation. Like how does creating a character affect any of those dumb ass NIL deals? Like be tf forreal this is a TERRIBLE mishap on EA’s part and i will speak on it under every video of college football i see on youtube because NO ONE is making as big of a deal as they should with a platform other than Ryan Moody and hes only spoke on it once. We ALL hate that create a character is not in the game, WE ALL feel the same way yet mfs wanna call it “nitpicking” no nitpicking would be me calling out the repetitive cut scenes. Theres alot of issues with this game but the BIGGEST by far to me is NO CREATE A CHARACTER AND NO EDITING PROSPECTS. EA GET YOUR FUCKING SHIT TOGETHER
All so true! I’m in the process of planning out a video where I talk about my wishlist for the next game and discuss issues with this game. There are so many things they could have done in the game that they didn’t do and I don’t understand why. Creating players doesn’t affect the NIL ones. Why can’t we edit computer generated prospects in Dynasty mode. It’s makes no sense. I’m a part of a Facebook group for College Football. Some EA devs are in there and several of us have made posts discussing the lack of features in the game. Hopefully, they listen, but it is EA so . . . .
This was all facts there is literally no reason and I mean we shouldn’t be able to at LEAST edit prospects . Horrible choice to leave that out this game would’ve been 9.5/10 (with other issues we currently face).

I'm planning to work hard on finishing the rest of the teams I have left this weekend, so be on the lookout for me completing some more conferences. The ACC, American, Big Ten, Big 12, Independent, Pac-12, and SEC are all complete!

Well, just lost my 98 overall qb. Should’ve done this. Well, at least won two nattys and been undefeated for 34 games. Now it’s a matter of time I lose a game. 😂
Update as of 8/30: The recent EA patch has added more NIL players. I hadn’t finished the spreadsheet yet because I was waiting on this. I am heading out of town right now, but this weekend I plan to sit down during my downtime and work on finishing all teams and updating the spreadsheet with any changes.
The fact that EA didn't even cover this before release tells you everhthing you need to know about EA, and specifically their sports games! I tried this & figured this was the case, but I didn't have the patience to check every player to see if I could edit them. I kinda gave up after the first 3-4 tries. Thanks!
I personally think they did it so we have to buy the new game each yeah I’ve also heard they aren’t updating the rosters each season on the previous game you can only get it through the newer one… EA knows damn well that if they gave us the option to create our own little college football world like the old days that people would go 2-5 years without buying a new copy. Really sucks that they took it away from us when at this point it’s a bare minimum standard in sports games 🙃 I’m truly disappointed about this and hope they update it.
I feel the same way. I wish sports game were more like other video games. Release a game this year and then spend the next five years developing the next one. In the mean time, give us a $5 DLC roster and or stadium update when each season starts. I’m sure people would pay for that and then maybe if they spend more time developing each game the quality would be better with each entry. But I’m sure they’re contractually obligated to release a game every year.

I’m out of town this weekend, so please bear with me. Virginia Tech and Wake Forest no longer have any players to edit, and the number of editable players has shrank a lot since more players have opted in.
Update as of 9/4 ACC, American, Big Ten, Big 12, Conference USA, Independent, PAC-12, and SEC conferences have been completely updated based on the latest roster updates. The SEC is completely done, and I have a good amount of other teams on the spreadsheet as well. I plan to finish up the ACC and Big Ten next since I have most of those schools done already. If you’ve requested a school and I haven’t done it yet, I apologize for missing your comment. I’ve been trying to go through all of them, but there are a lot of comments to sift through. I’m so grateful for all the support, but I may have overlooked a few requests and I’m sorry.
Being able to create players doesn't bother me. What bothers me is you cant even change recruited players numbers. I don't care about the fact that pass defense is damn near nonexistent. But the fact that I have a QB that is recruited and i cant change him from no.88 to anything else is beyond me.
Yeah the numbers thing is weird. Like surely NIL is not affected by what number you have since we can create an RTG character with any number with want for any team so why can’t we edit numbers elsewhere for non NIL players?
Alabama, Georgia, and Michigan are completely done! I’m working on adding more teams. If a team is color coded based on the school colors, then that team is done! 😎

Went through vaguely but the team with most ai players available to edit was Airforce college. Haven't done too many, but the Air Force has 20 available players. I believe that you can edit.
Yes it is so stupid that you can't fully create players etc hopefully the will fix that it's one of the coolest things to do in a game is creating yourself!

Only thing that sucks worse is that I have locs I once tried going through teams but not a single one of the players you can edit have dreadlocs and I play college football irl my school isn’t gonna be in the game unless someone does a team builder I just want care a player back they can make ai safe guards to keep from making players who didnt opt in or whatever
Yeah that sucks. I don’t understand why we can’t edit what non-NIL players look like. And all of the EA generated players look weird. It’s hard to find any decent ones or ones that look even remotely close to the look you’re going for.

Some others have suggested adding numbers too! I thought about after I had already done a dozen or so teams. Lol. I may go back once the list is done and add numbers.
I tried to edit the ratings and it's not saving. Like I tried to move a player on Kennesaw State from WR to QB and I tried to edit the ratings and he is still 12 overall. Idk if I have done something wrong or what 😅🤷🏿♂️
That’s odd. Yeah one more person said they had some issues with saving. That’s weird that it is changing stuff like that. Have you tried another team or player just to see if it’ll work then?
I was only able to edit 8 players, and I was using Ball State. The other player I tried to use would not allow the stats to stay once I left the player edit mode
And what am I to do when all these players on the edited rosters graduate? We can’t import recruits, we can’t edit players while in dynasty mode… this game has gone stale for me. I’m one bad game away from firing up the Xbox 360 and playing NCAA 13 again.
I haven’t done it myself yet because I haven’t gotten too far into Dynasty yet, but some people have said that you can edit new recruits some when they are officially on your team.
Yeah I know this sucks but it’s a price we all have to pay in order to have the game because if lawsuits happen then the game is gone so they are protecting the game in this aspect! But it does suck but it’s a few good teams with some good positions and good jersey numbers that you can edit, Mizzou is the team I’m using and they have a player at QB,HB,WR,FS,MLB,and LE
Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I enjoy the gameplay but the lack of features and some of the decisions made for offline modes really blow my mind!
I get editing existing players who opted in but I fail to see how creating fictional players in any way affects NIL. Most players may not care but not being able to create players and put them on any college roster I want absolutely ruins me wanting to play this game. Especially considering how bare bones Road to Glory already is.
Yeah I don’t get it either. Some people have suggested that you can’t edit numbers for example because it’s a part of the NIL people likeness but why can I create a player in RTG with any number I want then? That’s why I don’t see why the NIL stuff affect the non opted in players.
Yeah unfortunately they made it so you can’t do that with the editable players. It’s weird some of the decisions EA made with this game. Like I love the gameplay but it’s the little things.
